Nope.. you do not.  in AC, just go to the border of your town after finishing your part time job, and ask copper the guard for your friend code... then proceed from there.

in mario kart you can do it from the menu.

You should set up your wifi connection settings in mario kart FIRST.. then do AC from inside the game

Ahh wait different name... that doesn't matter though because your friend code stays the same. The ONLY important information is the code. The rest is just to help organize it for the person. Added everyone to date, opening my town.

But I cannot configure my router to work and it sucks so badly. I really hate that D-link G604T!  :evil:

It worked from time to time, but now, no connect at all with MK... Error 20100. It gets Ip and connects to router as far as I can understand. I have configured the ports for firewall etc... When testing connection from Wi-Fi setting it says "Connection succesful", but eventually when trying to connect it keeps trying and nothing! Bad machine, bad machine! *SLAM*

I'm definitely interested about visiting someones town if I can fix the router!

If you can control the router, I would simply do a reset factory settings, disable windows and router firewall, and try connecting.

i Just discovery whats the probleme with my freezes.. my PC is unstable due bad memory.. i reved a drr memory and its working better now..

i hope i dont get disconection anymore..
