I think in terms of expectations and letdowns, you can't go past Burnout. Did anyone actually expect Elf Blowing or King Kong to be good games? Burnout on the other hand... Just thank god I for my PS2, and PSP....

In terms of expectations, Yoshi Touch and Go. I expected more than what they gave us. They just released the E32004 demo.

In terms of overall gameplay, Kong. It took me 15 minutes to figure out wehre to go from the first area. The walls and stairs look the same.

And for the record: Turok 1 was good, Turok 2 was ok (that level select code in multiplayer is the BIGGEST glitch\oversight ever!!), 3 was awful and rage wars was pointless.

My vote goes to Burnout.  For me, it's not about how bad a game IS, but how good it could have been.  It's not a big deal if a lame game comes out.  It is a big deal when a game in a trusted franchise turns out to be a load of garbage.

I'm generally against franchise operations, in games, movies, even stores.  But part of the appeal of a franchise is that consistency.  Sometimes, games improve within a franchise (Metroid - Super Metroid) and sometimes they don't.  But when a game comes out that is DRASTICALLY below the level of quality of every other game in the franchise, that's a real shame.

Burnout could have been a good game if it had been called anything else.  The series has improved so much on PS2 since its first title, and the PSP version is excellent (not that the PSP needs another racing game.)  But the DS version is quite a letdown.

Burnout was not all bad, I'm still playing it lol. That ATV game, Monster Trucking shit and King Kong were the worst I've played  :x
