I don't believe supercard has MMC support... but don't quote me on that because I don't have the means to actually test it.

No they aren't, SD ( SecureDigital ) is "SDMI Aware" version of the MMC (MultiMediaCard), ever if i never saw a signle application taking "benefit" of those DRM & crypting possibility.
You can See SD as an improved version of MMC, supporting higher trougput and storage capacity.
There is Also SDIO format wich can act as a peripheral ( Wifi Card, GPS receiver, etc ... ).
They all share the same physical look but have different contact pins.

I actually have an 512mb "DV RS-MMC", which I use in my phone.
But what you said about the mmc having less contacts is not true.
On my mmc card there are all the contacts that the SD card has and more!
I don't have a picture of it right now, but I can post one if there is demand to see it.

Oh I haven't tried putting it into my Supercard tho.
I'll give it a go this evening.

Ok I finally took a picture.
From left to right:
RS-MMC with adapter, DV RS-MMC, SD, DS cart.

As you can see the DV RS-MMC has the same pins as the SD, and more.
I did try to run it in my Supercard SD and it didn't work.

Get some glasses a MMC has less contact than a SD.
A RS MMC IS NOT a genuine MMC, it came out years after the SD standard, and even more years after the MMC standard.

The first question was about MMC, not RS MMC. JayCee73 answered on that question. Period.

It's all good.
I just wanted to add information to a common topic, so that people who have similar questions and problems in the future can find an answer.
It's not an arguement, just want to help build the information resource of the forum.

I wouldn't mind knowing if the microSD did work with its adapter.

Quote from: "pixelk"We're not even talking about MicroSD.

Micro SD would almost certainly work with an adapter.

blastar

you can use MMC, SD, SMC & MS with SC/CF... no problem, it's working! i tried it some weeks ago!
