I heard that when using a PassMe/PassMe2 the RSA check is no longer in place.
As I am unsure I asked :).

ImmortalNinja

going slighty off topic here...
But if its true that would be cool.
Not sure how the PassMe would effect the bios when it downloads though.
wish I knew more about this kinda stuff rather than being an end user :(

Quote from: "Scor"Btw, I'm still unclear on the whole MX/Lattice bit (as my SC has both, see one of my older posts).[
The Lattice is the CPLD and the MX chip is the actual flashchip containing the firmware code.
The CPLD doesn't get flashed when upgrading the Supercard, it's the flashchip that gets new code. That's why there was a problem upgrading the CB chip, it's not 100% compatible with the MX chip.

On the SC miniSD, the Lattice chip is underneath the battery on the front, on the back is the MX or CB) chip.

So the whole I've got the Lattice version/MX version is nonsence.
There is just the MX and CB version?

Yep.

Quote from: "Scor"WMB allows you to send over either a NDS demo or NDS homebrew (that fits in the DS's ram).

I think most people run Windows WMB.exe to launch NDS homebrew using DS 'Download and Play'.  This is all I use the WiFiMe tools for.  I have WMB.exe associated with *.nds files on my PC for testing homebrew.  This method is also useful for running FlashMP.nds without booting a working Supercard. I think NTolerance flashed one of his DSs using the WiFiMe method but I haven't tried it myself. In the forums I refer to WMB.EXE and the WiFi drivers and the entire exploit as "WiFiMe".

Quote from: "Scor"As I am not sure about what pass through method removes the RSA check, I ask :).

When you boot a DS with a pass through device (including passme/superpass2/superkey) the DS will look at the header of the game cart rom for the game/program entry point.  The CPLD on the pass through device tricks the DS by changing the entry point value to the GBA boot address.  This is how we can run homebrew from the GBA port in DS mode without FlashMe.

Flashme takes it a step further by disabling RSA encryption check in the firmware code itself, thus eliminating the need for a pass through device. Flashme also protects the DS from malware by putting recovery code in the protected area of the DS bios.

Quote from: "Scor"I'll post a new topic with how to fix your bricked supercard, yes?

Yes, a new HowTo would be great.  :)

Btw, please do not call everything WifiMe, that causes great confusion.
WifiMe is a passthrough method.
WMB is a way to send *.nds files to your DS via the wireless network (download play).

what exactly was the trick to make the nds/lite NOT reboot when you insert the bricked sc minisd?
even if i plug the power of my nds or ndslite they both reboot as soon as i insert the sc minisd

It didn't work for me unless the DS was plugged in.  After you launch FlashMP quickly pop out the good SC then quickly pop in the bricked SC.  I had it fail once or twice, but it worked with my SCSD+superpass2.

it's plugged and no matter how often or how fast i switch the cards, as soon as the sc minisd touches the ds, the ds is making a reset

Speed doesn't matter, you can take all the time in the world.
What's causing the reset problem I don't know (as I don't have a bricked SC, so I can't reproduce the problem).

I'm not talking about the speed at which the cards are swapped, the time in between, I'm talking about the speed at which the cards are removed and reseated.

I tried swapping the Supercards a few times and it didn't always work. I had the DS shut off a couple of times. Use a quick and accurate motion.

OK!
the trick is like this:
if you look from above on your 2 screens, the right contact of the sc minisd has to be inserted first and as soon as the programm detects it you have to carefully insert the other site too, then you flash it, worked fine!!!
thanks a lot to all of you for your afford and help!!!
SC miniSD working again !!!! :D
