QuoteSomething I do find strange is that people think that a bricked product can be unbricked by using the product itself (not counting flashme with the rescue code).
What do you think :).
You will need to either WifiMe (if you have flashed your DS) the file over, or use any other GBA media adapter.

That won't work, already tried. I have an old GBA flashcart that supports NDS roms. I put flashmp.nds on it and am able to start it. It says to press L+R and then Up to flash. I can unplug the gba cart but as soon as I insert the supercard, it shuts off.

Scor

? Let me take a look.
*edit*
Works like a charm for me.
1. You boot the app
2. As soon as it's booted (don't press any buttons yet) take out whatever your media is and insert your SC-SD/whatever
3. Press L+R+(whatever you need to press)

No I haven't flashed my own SC with this tool, but it seems to work fine.

What cart are you trying this with? I have an EZflash II GBA cart. As soon as its pulled out and anything else (including the same cart) is inserted, it shuts off. I think supercard might not do this, but I can't test with a working supercard because my friend's died last week and he's waiting for the replacement.

Scor

First tested my GBAMP, I can test my EFA linker if you want (I'll append NDSloader.bin then).

Thanks man.

Scor

Take that as a yes :P.
Testing

Okay can you explain the process? This is what i'm doing.

Put EZ2 into linker... format it, add the NDS loader. use dslazy to patch flashmp.nds

Put EZ2 into DS and turn it on. See Flashmp in the loader. Press A to launch it.

FlashMP has the black screen with white text.

Unplug the EZ2 and plug in the supercard.

DS turns off.

Question: I'm using flashme. Should I boot off my Superkey instead? What method are you using? Thanks for taking the time to do this. I appreciate it.

Scor

I've flashed my DS, but it shouldn't matter.
Can you leave the loader off of the GBA flashcard, and just put the flashmp.ds.gba on there (or name it the same name as the loader, I want it to boot).
I can append ndsloader.bin to flashmp.nds (altough I put the exact same command in as dslazy).
Don't run it through any other patchers (why I don't want the loader on the gba flashcard).

I took off the EZflash ds loader and just burned the flashmp.nds file

As soon as I turn it on, it loads FlashMP but when i plug in the supercard, it shuts off again.

Try turning on the DS with nothing in either slot so it boots to the default BIOS. Now, plug in a flashcard. Does your DS turn off? mine does.

Scor

Once it boots into the bios (with clock and etc.) I can do what I want, insert cards, take out cards both slots.
Simply keeps working.
I'll try my NDSL.
*edit*Works fine with my NDSL too.

I do have an issue with my supercard, what I wanted to check out now is downgrading the firmware of my Supercard miniSD, and upgrade it again...

Well...my question is...whats the lowest firmware version I should flash onto my Supercard mini (!!) SD...? (Its an MX one)...

Youre wondering why I would do a downgrade? Look:
http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4090

So, what firmware version should I try?

bye bye

..bla?

Scor

Could you take a picture of your card for me (so the MX chip is viewable)?
Not that it will help you though (well, possibly).

SUCCESS!

This time I used my superkey and bypassed the flashme altogether. I ran the flashmp from my EZflash II and plugged in the power. When I swapped cartridges, it didnt reset and it detected the supercard.

I flashed it and restarted and it was 1.52. I downloaded the bin file and successfully updated to 1.63b!

Thanks a lot for all your help Scor. I'm in a great mood right now :)
