My SCL Experiences/Questions

I've never used a supercard before but I've just gotten a Superkey and Supercard Lite.

I've been having a bit of a play with it and thought I'd post my experiences so far:

Firstly, every single NDS ROM I've tried so far has worked great, including the JP version of Mario Hoops. I obviously haven't tried them all yet and I haven't tried DSBrowser or Starfox as I assumed neither of them would work but I've had no problems with any I have tried.

I haven't tried any GBA roms yet but will do shortly.

I downloaded Moonshell and used the patcher in the SCL download and it seems to work fine. I converted a xvid movie into .DPG format and it plays fine. For some reason moonshell wouldn't open some jpegs I tried but I still need to experiment more.

I ran DSorganize through the moonshell patcher and it worked fine (thought I don't actually like the software that much).

I've also put ScummMV onto my SCL but I'm not sure what I actually need to do with the roms to get them working so think there's a bit more reading to be done here.

I also wanted to try to rip my save files from my actual games but I haven't been able to figure out how to get REIN working yet.

I still need to experiment a bit with the homebrew but the game roms are working great.

I've had ndsmail, beup, dsorganzise, moonshell 1.33 and duckhunt (Oh yeah) working on the SCL

Haven't been able to get HelloDS working at all.

All seems to be good

What's HelloDS?

I really wish there was a listing somewhere with all the homebrew.  There's so much neat stuff going on but it's scattered everywhere.  Basically you have to hear about it by word of mouth or else spend your day googling various combinations of homebrew, ds, gba, and so on...

For GBA, I'd recommend advance wars, fire emblem (not ss), LoZ Minish Cap, and all Castlevanias.  All of these work great with supercard and can be played for a very long time.

There's others, for sure, but the ones I just listed are probably among the best that SC supports 100%.  Remember your button combos.
