A lot of people are reporting this happening, but most people say it works fine. So, basically, god hates me.

(I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of...)

1 post?  Sounds like M3 fanboy trolling, to me.  If you really wrecked your SC, sorry to hear about that.  Is it a SCL?  You can probably return it for an exchange.

thespleen

1 post cause I just registered. Ive heard M3 kinda sux, anyway. But, yeah, and I'm not the only one with problems. It sucks ass!

thespleen

and no, it's not a lite... I have a ds phat. It's a mini-sd.

That's what I immediately thought as well, the other guy complaining is a brand new member too.

I whole heartedly apolagise if I'm wrong, but it does seem kind suspicious especially when it's not the new DS-Lites they are complaining about.
Yes I'm mad

thespleen

I usually prowl, but I couldn't find any solution, so I registered to complain myself. XD

Anyway, this does suck, BUT I'm gonna try the chinese one someone posted earlier. Maybe it'll work.

Mastershredder

I'm having the same problem... so are other people in different forums. Check out my thread here http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5313

thespleen

That one's not there anymore... anyone still have the chinese updater?

DeVS

STOP with the BS people. This is not how we treat new members. I highly doubt someone would sign up that is a "M3 fanboy" to lay claims about the new software messing up there units. This problem is being reported by many diffrent people on many diffrent forums (not all DS forums either). I assume these people have been lurking for awhile and just signed up because they have a problem and need help. Again we don't treat members like this ESPECIALLY  new members who may not be as advanced useres as others here and are needing help.

The first thing I would suggest is try to return or exchange your SC if possible.

As a last resort I suggest trying to restore your supercard firmware using WiFiMe and DF's FlashMP program.  WiFiMe allows homebrew to be run on a DS without a SC, using 'download and play'.  FlashMP is a homebrew program that can restore SC CF/SD firmware.

I have a WiFiMe setup so you can send your SC to me and I will try to restore your SC firmware to the latest version.  PM me if you are interested.

Fair enough 'Devs' ... maybe I'm too suspicious.

Anyway to the user having trouble, take out you're passcard when upgrading, or if using flashme hold 'select' on power up to go into gba mode for upgrading. Hopefully that will do the trick.

thanks for the offer, bitblt, but I have a wifime capable setup myself (but hate using it). I'm trying backing up my mini sd, formating it, upgrading it (in gba mode) and then replacing the files. I'll post whether it works or not in a minute or two.

Do you have a link that explains the procedure? I have a WiFiMe compatible linksys card and would be willing to try this tonite when I get home.
