Guy's thank you for the information, this saves my day. :D

Just to make sure I do everything right I have put the details provided by Scor et all in a step by step  list (did I forget anything?):

You will need another method to boot homebrew (other then your "bricked" supercard).

Some of these methods are:

-Flashme+other GBA media card (GBA flash card, M3, whatever)
-WifiMe+other GBA media card (GBA flash card, M3, whatever)
-PassMe/PassMe2/NoPass + other GBA media card (GBA flash card, M3, whatever)
-WMB (you will need to remove the RSA check)

0. In order to prevent the NDS to power off when you pull out your GBA flash card and put the "bricked" supercard in, make sure you're plugged in with the AC adapter (it should swap just fine then).

1. If you are capable of booting homebrew, put this application on the GBA flash card:

flashmp.nds

Note: some GBA flash cards (incl. SC) require to attach a bootloader (ndsloader.bin):

copy /b ndsloader.bin + flashmp.nds flashmp_patched.nds

2. Boot flashmp.nds (or flashmp_patched.nds) on your GBA flash card in NDS MODE, this may require to press A+B+X+Y at startup

3. Put your bricked SC in your DS (removing the GBA flash card)

4. Follow the instructions on screen.

5. Once the application is done your SuperCard will be reflashed to version 1.52.

6. Download the latest FW from the SuperCard website and flash your SuperCard with that again.

7. It should go fine now.

http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/ndsloader.bin (link does not work at the moment)

Note as the ndsloader.bin link is not working at the moment you may try ndsmall.bin (I did not try this):

copy /b ndsmall.bin + flashmp.nds flashmp_patched.ds.gba

Ok. My SC CF was bricked by the 1.63 upgrade. I did this procedure and it's fixed. So people who've busted their CFs can note that it worked for me, so it might for you.

MasterMan

Now i'm realy afraid. I don't have where to borrow another flash device if i brick my SC-CF.
Do exist any rule wich prohibits SCs whith MX-whatever from upgrading with 1.63-b?

The new binary works with every SC (anyway, it should).

MY SC MiniSD is now fully running !!! with 1.63b FW ....
Did exactly what Scor had told me to:

1. plug in the powers
2. boot flashmp.nds from SC CF
3. swapping the cart, put in my SC MiniSD (I have notice that if you still have a mini SD card inside the SC, once you put it in, NDS will reset, but when I took it out it doesnt reset anymore)
4. follow the instruction and my SC MiniSD becomes 1.52
5. then upgrade to 1.63b .... DONE

All my thanks to everybody here for your support.... thx man....

Scor

Quote from: "combustion88"too bad another card is needed to do this, I dont have one and no one else i know does either.

Quote from: "MasterMan"I live in Brazil and the SC-CF i own was distributed by a brazilian seller, Emumaniacos.

As shown, they replace the label from SC and the back of cartridge is plain, no inscriptions or whatever.
How can i say if my SC has MX or CB thing before i try to upgrade?
Where i live, people don't even know what a DS is. I have 0 possibility of getting another flash cart :(
I need to know exately what to do when upgrading.

BTW, what happens if a MX SC tryes to upgrade with the 1.63-b fix?

Usa o Update normal!!  1.63.. e nao o B !!!!

Use the normal update 1.63... do not use the B version!!!

Você tem o mesmo Supercard do Emumaniacos que eu!
You have same emumaniac supercard as me !!!

MasterMan

- Valeu, Dudu.exe, em ~1 semana chega meu leitor CF e eu já faço isso. -
Thanks, Dudu.exe, in about one week comes my CF reader and i'll do this.

Hello.

I have spoiled Supercard SD (bricked by the old-new 1.63 update) from DS (with FlashMe). In the same way, there is M3 from GBA.

My reconstruction Supercard SD.
1. put flashmp.nds on M3.
2. Boot it (NDS MODE)
3. Put bricked SC in DS. DS leaves in main menu.

Why occurs such? Charging is always connected.

If pull out and insert M3 back in DS that in the main menu DS does not leave. All OK. But if pull out M3 and insert Supecard, that DS leaves in the main menu. (Initial screen DS since hour).

Help me please.

P.S. Excuse me for my English. I from Russia.

Scor

There were a few other people that had a problem with the DS shutting down when re-inserting their SC.
I am unsure about what your problem is exactly so I can't help a lot (try to be clearer with your English).
What one of the mods here thought may help is putting it in with (I think) the right side in first and then insert the rest of the card (so try to put it in slightly at an angle and then push it in fully).
It could have been left first though (I would say he wants ground to get connected first, but I don't know if that is left or right).

Thank you Scor.
Supercard I have inserted orderly. ALL well. Then hold L+R and press UP (for Supercard SD).
Inscription "Erasing..." appeared in bottom. And all. Nothing else has occurred.

1. How much lasts the process flashing?
2. Whether to insert the card SD in Supercard?
3. If it is necessary then whether to place on it anything?

sven86_16

Passed more hour. Change no. The Word "Erasing..."
