I will of course tell all about them when I get my mitts on them.
But I dont get no special treatment so I wont be getting them any earlier than anyone else.
There'll probably a ton of reviews and opinons already from the review samples people get by the time I get mine...

You should note, that for all DS-based cards which will be created now and in future, the DS slot is not usable as general memory. So all programs are limited to 4 MByte size, or will have to use some sort of overlay technique.

Programs on a GBA slot card will have a total of 4+32MByte for memory.
Be aware of this limitation!

How do u guys get to test it?  Do they find you?  Jeez, I wish I could test it...  :(

zektor

I have tested and reviewed a few of these types of devices myself in the past...going as far back as devices such as the SWC, Z64 and CD64 :) If I get one I will certainly construct a thorough unbiased review of the device.

I would not imagine GBA play will be possible, unless of course a reverse flashme of some sort is introduced...but you never know. Either way, this device seems to be advertised as a DS device, so it technically does not have to have GBA support at all. Well, we'll see what the future brings us!

I thought the understanding was that DS carts aren't read as quickly as GBA carts... that's why we can run DS with no slowdown, but GBA has slowdown on many games.  So logically if there ever was the capability to run GBA from the DS slot, the slowdown would be even more severe than ever.  Am I wrong?

Any GBA game from the ds slot wouldnt work so we have to count on a emulator and really if they could perfect the emulator then slowdowns would happen at all i think the ds has enough power to play the gba games faster than most would believe maybe twice as fast as normal gameplay.

Am i correct people?

So basically, in order to use this, you'll gotta have a superkey like device toguether with a flashcart yo flah your lite only to use it.... don't sound to good for me, it shopuld have passkey capabilities.
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

sonicwind

they wanted to keep costs down but this having to flash thing is gonna kill it.

monaug5

it also needs patching i have already decided i am going to convert and buy the DS Xtreme instead

sonicwind

you might want to wait considering how fast their pumping this new stuff out now.
