Quote from: "Vasco"I have a problem...

"IWAD found:  /doom.wad"
"IWAd found:  /doom.wad"
"CheckIWAD:  IWAD tag  /doom.wad  not present"

But i have Doom.wad

Dont put your DS Doom files into folders and it will work !

rorix_bladewing5

doom1.wad seems to run smoother than doom2.wad.  Is this normal?

Luckly I have real Doom on my pc so now I have TNT on!

Tip: To speed around the levels you can enable autorun: by editing the PRBOOM.CFG. Under game settings: change the autorun 0 to 1. Saves pressing the "X" button and really shows off the impressive framerate.

What a Stella port. This is the best homebrew yet on the DS. Hours of classic gameplay.

I agree it's good, but ScummVM still rocks for me :).

Has anyone been able to get multiplayer to work. I cant even get into my own server. I host it with the same wad on both ends and it just comes up with a red error screen every time.

What does TNT stand for?

Quote from: "meangreenie"out of these, does anyone know which is considered the best ... doom.wad, doom2.wad, tnt.wad or plutonia.wad

It's a matter of preference.  I prefer the advanced levels of original Doom myself.  Doom2 has better monsters, boss's, and other game content.

As far as tnt.wad and plutonia.wad . . .

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Final_Doom
TNT emphasizes interesting and very complicated level architecture, good use of as many colors as possible, and a sense that the action is really taking place in real buildings. TNT is, as a whole, a showcase of the possibilities of Doom in terms of impressive designs and visual imagery. TNT's landscape is dominated by metal, plastic, glass and minerals.

Plutonia is much different - its level style is dark, clean and austere, with stone and wood dominating the scene. The emphasis is put on difficulty - all levels have been designed for Doom veterans who would be able to survive through endless hordes of monsters and deadly traps. Plutonia is a challenge even on low difficulty settings and has proven to be a true test for experienced players.

Contrary to popular belief, Final Doom is a stand-alone game and does not require Doom II to run.

If the FTP gets bogged down then try download.com
