Which flashcart is really the best?, SClite compared to G6

Now I ordered SClite from realhotstuff.com and I'm expecting it in a day or 2 but I've seen alot of talk about ppl having the G6lie and i'm wondering I made the right decision.
I know there is already a G6lite vs. SClite topic, and this site is about supercard products, but I just what to get your guys opinions.

There are a few things that kept me from G6lite:

1. I've been seeing alot of topics about G6lite corrupting and I don't want that to happen to me.

2. I used to own a SCminiSD, and I have alot of saves from that and I'm wondering if I can use those same saves on a G6lite, or would I have to start all over again.

3. Since G6lite uses a battery, I'm worried how long would it last and if it ran out would I be able to replace it.

There are a few things to note:

i) I'm only a little interested in gba, but i have an XG-Flash 128M(I know, its REALLy OLD) but it still works.
ii)I'm not really interested on how the interface looks, I'll only be there to pick a game, not stare a it.
iii)I'm not at all interested in homebew.
iv)I used to have a 1 gig and I kinda feel 512 is small, but when i really think about it, i only played like 6 games of the 22 i have on the 1 gig stick

Some questions:

1 Does it take long to put games on the cart. One of the reasons i purchased the lite was because it was frontloaded like my mini and i didn't have to take the cart out the DS.
2. More importantly, If ppl have both or have experience with both the G6 and the supercard SD/miniSD/lite which one do u prefer and why?

Thank you to you guys if u can answer my questions(Hope I don't regret buying SClite, cause i've supported and loved  the supercard products so far).

Just updated to 4.2a, went fine

I think they work (I think I've tried it, but I'm unsure).
If not you can always write them to a real DS card and then let the G6lite down them from there.

You should be able to replace it, and that shouldn't be to hard.
Btw, you know the miniSD version of the SC also has a battery?

Not really, just over a minute for MPH I think.

I have a GBAMP, SC-SD, SD-mSD, DSmem, GBA flash card and G6lite.
For MP3's and etc. I prefer my SC-SD (miniSD I never use), but for most games I use the G6lite.
Don't really know why :).

When a good FAT lib comes you won't.
Do look out for the thickness of the SC-lite though.

G6 Program writer is annoying because you can only do 1 game at a time and it copies over like 4 files which take around 1-2 minutes each.

Scor

Do you know what the files are for?
One is the game, three are save files (save files take nearly no time, the game file does take some time as it is pretty big).
And seeing as it is a GBA flash card, writing does indeed take somewhat longer then an SD card.
The patcher does indeed only let you write one game at a time (you select a game and it automatically patches it for you and puts it on the G6), but seeing as the G6lite acts as a normal USB disk you can also just patch the games and then put them on it later.

only the rom takes a minute or so (if it's a 512mbit rom)... the other three files are almost instantaneous.  they are save files (256kb x3) and an icon file just a few kb big.

It is not annoying at all.

What I said but much shorter :P.

I didn't have a problem selecting multiple ROMs by using CTRL+click.  Then you just select the patch option that says "same for all" or whatever and it applies the same settings to all ROMs.

Personally, I prefer carts with removable media. I just prefer having 40 games on me rather than 4.

First of all,

@Carnivean

You can have more than 4 games; in fact, at one point I had about 15 games on my G6.

Second,

You can definitely use your SC game saves, just do some renaming of your .sav file, and you're set.  In fact, you can use any .sav file you find.  And on top of that, you can use the MaxDrive save converter program, and even those saves work as well.

Having owned a SC (blue), SC Mini, and finally a G6 Lite, I personally like the G6 a lot more because of the UI.  It has a built-in save manager, and you can even write your saves to your DS carts (for whatever reason).  Also, the UI has touch functions, which I like.

But the issue of slowdowns is a gray area for me, since the only area where I noticed a difference was the Castlevania movie.

Well, that's my input on the Supercard vs. G6 topic.

Supercard lite:
(Own experience)

* I had to sand it down to get it in my ds lite (most ppl just have a tight fit)
* I like the simplicity of the supercard menu
* Use your own microsd (TF) carts to 2gb if needed
* Simpel fast pc software
* microsd slot on the downside of the cart (no need to pull out the sc lite
* This is also a downside (the microsd isn't that tight in the slot)
* All games work on SC Lite

G6 Lite
(Own experience)

* Fits great
* Comes with old GBA sized case to use in old GBA or DS
* Comes with 2 extra lite cases (navy and that other blueish color ;) )
* 512mb isn't that much if you like to keep all your games and homebrew stuff on it
* PDA software takes to much space, better to remove it
* Slow writing to it
* When you manage to fuck up, you really fuck up your G6 Lite and the recovery software isn't that helpfull
* GUI is nice for ppl who like icons etc... (it's a nice touch)
* PC Software is ok, but ... (yeah fill in your own stuff here)
* USB stick plug 'n play
* Think comp. is also 100% like supercard lite

It really is up to the user what he wants, both cards perform well and do what the need to do when it comes to NDS

When it comes to GBA, well then G6 is the clear winner, Supercard is known for it's bad gba support (but who cares anyway, for GBA we all use or old gba flashkits :P

Unless you want to wait for the new generation DS Slot sized Flashkits :)
