For it to be possible, to create your own Desktop a 24-bitmap image (.bmp) must be at dimension 256 X 192... so copy a backround off the internet, save it and in MSpaint open the file. Use (Ctrl+A) and shrink it to 256 X 192 save as desktop, move it into the folder 'shell' so it replaces the old one... thats what I heard on another forum but, I must be doing something wrong. Can someone help me?

Did you place it in the shell folder, overwriting the original desktop.bmp?

Zygarth

Try throwing on moonshell all over and opening the desktop file and just scribble something and save it to see if it works that way. If it does, just try putting the image in that way.

I don't care enough to change my moonshell desktop.

You replace the file -> it loads the replaced file instead.
I'm using moonshell 133

A_Whall

okay, so you don't change anything in the global.ini?

C_FILE.bmp is the other desktop. (ot sure about the FILE, but it definetly starts with C_)
