In 2.55c patching software... there is Enable Patch Cartridge Access. Once you use this on Final Fantasy 3 and Rune Factory, these games seem to work... where they didn't before. What exactly is this doing or patching?

I guess the only thing which matters is that those actually work now.

Yes... that I already knew. I wanted to know what it exactly did though.

I imagine it's for a game trying to use a different method to access the game cartridge.

Final Fantasy 3 and Rune Factory work for me without the need to use Enable Patch Cartridge Access on my sccf
