Yep, but the www.ds-link.net is the real one. It originates from every review and with the URLs from the retail package. A week ago that URL was 100% Chinese, now it isn't.

sonicwind

That is one of the worst sites I've ever seen. Text and pictures overlapping, makes it really hard to read. They need to hire a competent site designer.

use a different browser it doesn't seem to work with firefox but does with ie.

Works great on Opera (Best browser I have ever used)

I can confirm the latest DSLink patcher software (1.20) supports the following ROMs . . .

Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy
Harvest Moon DS
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis

I have the English version of DSLink with firmware 1.11

I noticed that this review is linked on the DSLink English website . . .

Quote from: "xizz88"When you said "I was also able to start and play a “DS Download Play” between my DS-Link DS and another DS Lite," did you mean you were able to play ds downloadplay with a nonflashed ds?

Yes the DS that downloaded was not flashed.

I can confirm 'DS download play' does not work with DSLink when hosting to a non-flashed DS, just like with Supercard and other slot2 flash cards.  For example Mario Kart and Super Mario 64 will only work when hosting to another flashed DS.

I can confirm DSLink does support FAT32, although performance seems to be about the same.  However FAT32 support will become useful when 4GB and 8GB microSD become available.

sonicwind

you mean 4GB and 8GB right
can you confirm if any new homebrew is usable with the update?

Nothing has changed. Homebrew that uses FAT lib does not work. Most other homebrew works fine.

How do you get the V1.20 software to display in English?  It installed and starts up in Chinese without giving me a language choice.

NM: I found the selection after messing around with the buttons at the bottom of the screen.

For those going through what I did, click the middle button which should be Options, the second drop down list is language selection.

Cheers

I've got three 2000 Wii point cards and a Nyko charger for free so far.

I've found/confirmed several things with regards to the DS-Link product.

- As already confirmed, the mini-games in New Super Mario Bros indeed do not work.
- The Chronicals of Narnia save file from the Supercard will not convert with the Saver Importer.
- Danny Phantom works properly on it.
- Mario vs DK2 appears to run full speed.
- Animal Crossing WW still appears to run slow, same as before.
- Power up time is considerably longer than the SC.
- Game launch time can be CONSIDERABLY longer than the SC; especially with BIG save game files.
- Ultimate Spiderman is still flakey as hell.  Even with the special saver (which allows you to skip the first 4% of the game), I had the game hang.

Presentation is fab, the patcher is pretty pain free.  I'll give the product a proper on Dual Screen Radio.

I can confirm FAT16 runs much faster than FAT32 with both my Kingston 512MB and my Sandisk 2GB.  I have not been able to get TonyHawk to work with the new patcher software. Also, Spyro - A New Beginning has glitchy graphics.  All other new (U) ROMs (553-603) seem to work fine.
