hello, i just recently receieved my supercard lite

i use a kingston 512 micro SD but it doesnt seem to be able to run games smoothly.

Bleach DS works but when i try to use a special move, it just freezes.
Same for Megaman ZX.

The Castlevania intro doesnt even run through. It just freezes when that guy is about to slash the golem.
FF3 also shows the same problem.

should i return my micro SD and get a better one?

if so, which one is suggested/ recommended?

ShinaKitsune

did you patch with the newest patcher for the microsd supercard? since the patcher for the sd/minisd is different from the one for the microsd.
Also, make sure that you are running the latest firmware, otherwise i have no idea.

Electric Blue DS "phat" + supercard minisd + 1gb kingston
Coral Pink DSLite + supercard microsd + 1gb a-data

I thought they said that the Supercard Lite runs really smooth even with a normal Sandisk card?

liquidnitrogen

well. i'm using a Kingston 512 micro SD, which i got for cheap. perhaps cheapt things = cheap experience?

bleach ds patched regularly with new patches and software. it seemst o run smooth, until ban kai, and then it freezes. strange

ff3 was patched iwth that gba access, frozen in the intro.... :(

sonicwind

i've played all these and have not had a problem and i'm using a regular 2GB sandisk card.  Maybe it does have to do with your card or you actually ddin't update the firmware on the sc.

liquidnitrogen

hm. should i try updating the firmware on the scl?

i tried it and it said

old - 1.63
new - 1.63

didnt see a point... guess i'll try it ina bit

Hanafuda

and youre definitely using the patching software for the dslite? i.e. not the patcher for Supercard SD (or CF)?

liquidnitrogen

yes, i'm using the micro sd....

well. it turns out that the micro SD chip (taiwan) i'm using was somewhat defective? I used another one of the same brand (japan) and it worked flawlessly.

thanks for prompt answers
