This is what I got when using DOS/PROMPT to format

The /FS switch is only supported by NT 4.0+, so you can't do it in Windows 98.  In fact, now that I think about it, I can't even remember how to select the file system you wish to format the drive with in Windows 98. :o

Maybe if you Google it you can come up with some info?  Or perhaps you can get someone with NT 4.0+ (WinNT 4.0+, WinME, Win2000, WinXP) to format your CF card at the command line?

Anyway I think I have no difficulty formatting if I really want to do so. However, as for the damage to the Supercard and the CF card, I don't really know about them. If the supercard is broken, is there any way to fix it? Is it possible to send it back to ROMMAN? Have you ever tried sending your broken supercard back to ROMMAN and CLAIMED FOR A NEW ONE? I don't think there is anything wrong with the CF card, it works great with everything and every device. It also works well with the SUPERCARD too except there is no REAL TIME SAVE. It is also a brand new supercard. By now, what I am worried about is the types of brand of the CF cards. As I stated in my earlier post, the brand of the CF card I use is ELEC-DANE.
