it worked fine on the old loaders from back when it come out i played it for months & it worked ok (V1 scdsone)

so if your that bothered just use an old loader if your using a none SDHC scdsone  (V1 - V2) http://eng.supercard.cn/soft_scdsone.htm
& if you are using a V3 SDHC scdsone use the dstt menu then at least you can use cheats if you want to

Beg your pardon. Am a bit confused? Then what was THAT thing that first gen devices like Supercard SD had to patch on the comp with every ROM and new carts like SCDS-1 automatically patch in memory?
That's a different type of patching which is for commercial games only.  Basically, commercial games need patching with the Supercard patcher so that they can run from slot-2 rather than slot-1, while homebrew games need DLDI patching so they can access the filesystem of your card.

I'm playing this game fine with my Supercard DS One SDHC version. With the lastest patchs and dats. No problems found.
It works with DSTT menu and consequently YsMenu too.
Maybe the problems are on the old carts itself.
