sounds like you've patched to save on the DS cart. Patch it to save on SD/CF or put a 2mb card in the DS slot ;)

thanks for the quick reply, how do i patch it to save on the CF.

Much appreciated.

Hey, I have flashme and supercard CF. I want to upgrade to flashme V5 so I can play mario kart. Can someone give me instructions on how to upgrade? I'm afraid of bricking my DS like some others have. I've searched google and the forums and havent found anything. Also it would be kickin rad if someone could PM me a link to the patched MK rom for CF.

Question... I have ordered a Supercard and one of the DS compatible WiFi cards...

If I follow those steps for Wifi'ing the DS, does that mean I can use the SupercardCF with an NDS rom and a commercial DS game to play the rom WITHOUT a passkey device?  So all I would need to play the roms would be (physically speaking):

A Commercial DS game
the Approved WiFi card
Supercard + CF

?

Thanks! :)

Wifi me only works with the old DSes... so if you have an old DS, yes. If you have a newer DS, then no... you'll need a passme 2.

I bought it about 10 months ago... how old does it have to be?

sneef

That's plenty old enough!

you should be fine.  a DS from the beginning of the year would have the old firmware UNLESS it's been factory serviced recently.

Nevermind, patched the rom myself and it works fine...

Hasn't been worked on.

Now if I understand it, I can only play one game at a time because there's only one cartridge to save to... does the real-time saving work on DS too?  Any way to be able to save on more than one game?

And as I understand it if I don't WiFi Me ver. 5 I get a bricked DS until I fix it huh?

Most games can be patched to save to the SD/CF, so that's not an issue. And no real-time saving as of yet.

Only if you're planning to play WiFi enabled games (Read: Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Tony Hawk.) Those games write to the firmware, destroying the old FlashMe.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

What are the steps to patch a game to save on the CF?

m2pt5

Get the Supercard CF patcher program (from the downloads section).

Go to the settings and tell it where to put the patched games. Add your games to the list.

Double click on the game, make sure "Save to" is set to CF (and probably "Run from" as well), then hit "Out".

Copy the patched games to your CF card, put it all together, and play!

Thanks! :)  I can't wait for my Supercard to get here.  How easy or hard is to enable cheats?

You can't enable cheats for DS games at all. For GBA games, if there is already a cheat list available it's incredibly easy. You just choose which ones you want to activate.
