Keep in mind that you have to pay IN FULL at the time of the preorder as it is such a small operation.  I just blew my $350+

QuoteRight, no messing around for those of you waiting to preorder, you can place your order from here:

There will only be 3000 Pandoras made in this batch. No more until 2009. First come first served.

I'm tempted but $350 smakers is a pretty big chunk o cash.

socket

Yeah I almost feel like a jackass for buying one, but I've been putting cash aside for it for a while now that was starting to burn a hole in my checking account.

Hopefully the first batch doesn't have any major problems.  I'm definitely looking forward to your feedback on Pandora.

Yeah, I'll be sure to keep major updates posted here.  I also plan on developing some things for it, too.

Nope.  There were some delays... Seems to be on track for February.

I've been casually reading the GP32x forums every once in a while, and from what I can tell, there's still no estimated shipping date yet.  Something about getting it FCC approved before mass distribution or some craziness like that.

A friend of mine has a fairly early pre-order as well, and I'm sure I'll hear about it the instant they start shipping.

socket

LOL... yeah I've been drooling over this thing for way too long...

I'm fine with it... I guess.  As long as they get it right.  The devs have been releasing videos and stuff to keep us 'happy'...

It seems to be at the final stage.  They can't do FCC until they have the final FINAL actual mass production item.  It should pass no problem, but that process takes a week or so.  From what us suckers can tell is they should start shipping in a month or so.  That is an educated guess.

good blog to follow real updates: http://openpandora.wordpress.com/

Did you get your preorder yet? How is it?

According to my friend, they're still a couple of weeks away from getting the first batch of 100 or so units into customers' hands.  I have however been reading on the GP32X forums about a possible N64 emulator for the Pandora, which appears to be going fairly smoothly.  Lots of big-name developers over there are taking a look at it last time I checked.  No video output yet, so they can't exactly post a demo on Youtube, but work is progressing.

This is a really long wait. Could this be vaporware ala phantom?

Yep still waiting... I still check the damned blogs and forums daily.  They just released video of the video out working... so hopefully the'll be some good videos soon.  I'll be excited to get it by Christmas.
