Hey guys, Newb here...

Found your tutorial on fixing the power issue on the Nintendo DS Phat... I replaced a case and ran into the problem.  Anyway... I'm trying to remove the F2 fuse and it is not as easy as it sounds in the tutorial.  It says gently pry it out after removing miniscule amount of existing solder... and it ain't budging.  Any help or advice would be appreciated.

On another note, I saw a post mentioning water damage to the bottom screen cable.  I don't think this is the case but I did wipe down the bottom screen with alcohol before replacing it. I used a Q-tip so I'm pretty sure I didn't do that.  Anyway... Great site.

Peace and Love, Peace and Love.

Welcome to scdev.org!

Personally I would just bridge F2 with a bit of wire and solder. That way you don't have to worry about fuses anymore. :)

Oh... I want to bridge it... the problem is, I can't get the original fuse off so I can get a clean bridge.

Is there a technique I should use... Like I say, the tutorial makes it sound easy and it isn't.

As you can see in my picture there is no need to remove the fuse.  I simply coat then end of a thin strand of wire with solder then carefully solder the end to the fuse and clip off any excess wire.
