I honestly play my Iphone games WWAAYYYY more then my DS, PSP, or home consoles. The games now are top notch in graphics, sound, and even the controls are tight now. Game developers have been saying it and I honestly think it is true also, the Iphone is making HUGE strides in the game industry and could easily become the leader in mobile games within the next 2yrs. I mean I have A+ game titles on a device I carry with me every day every where I go. Anytime im somewhere where I have down time, I whip out my phone and play some games. Best of all you can "jailbreak" both the Iphone and Ipod Touch with free software to allow you to run unsigned code (aka: free games/apps). Here are just 12 games off the top of my head that show why the Iphone is a better game system right now then the DS (not to mention all the amazing Apps that you can run on the damn thing too):

I've got Peggle on my iPod Classic, which is enough to keep me entertained for hours if I don't happen to have my DS on me at the time.

Personally, the only thing holding me back from buying one is the need for a full fledged hard drive.  I need more room than 8GB without it costing me a bajillion dollars.

Ya that pisses me off too. Apple is stingy with hdd space. Anyway I mainly use my iphone for videos and internet on the go. As far as games are concerned, they look nice but until Apple adds buttons to this thing, I'll never considered it a true gaming device. Now if there was some  type of addon I could buy like a bluetooth gamepad, that would kick ass then  8)

I'd get one, too... but like I've said before, I have to carry a BlackBerry with me at all times due to work, so I just want one "phone" anyway.  I have the storm (which pales in comparison to the iphone).... Maybe I'll look into getting one unlocked or something.  I don't want another huge contract... I'd rather just add a line to my plan.

Your just get an iPod Touch. All the same games and apps, but a thinner body.

iphone/itouch just kicks ass. I haven't really played my ds since we got one of each.

I'd be more interested in the iPhone if it didn't require daily charging.  That's a major criteria for me with regard to phone selection.  I got my current Sony Ericcson w300i mostly because it can run for nearly a week on standby without requiring a recharge.  My dad's iPhone is cool and all, and mobile web browsing without needing wifi is awesome, but the battery life kills it for me.  He had to buy a separate battery pack just so he'd be able to get through the day without plugging it in all the time.

socket

Yeah I should just get a touch.

And also, I agree that battery life is rough on some of these devices.  If I don't have my BB docked while at work, it is surely about to die when I'm going to bed every day.

Sounds like his is defective or he uses it alot to browse the net or uses apps or plays alot of games during the day. If I don't play alot of games or apps mine stays charged for atleast a week.

Well it's sorta his work phone as well, so he's constantly making calls on it, which is probably why the battery drains so quickly.

socket

Yeah calls kill battery more than anything as far as I know.

DS is never going to have graphics as good as any non-nintendo product because of nintendo's philosophy.

basically, they think that playstation, xbox and personal computer developers are just releasing the same game over and over with better and better graphics.

They decided to take on a niche market of 'gameplay' by introducing new stuff.... like the wii-mote...

iPhone/touch is a follow on from DS touch screen and it's a terrible touch screen. You can't use a stylus, and my fat fingers on top of the graphics means I don't get to see the graphics. (Yes, I have fat fingers) So without buttons on the iphone, I'm not even tempted to put games on it.

Now... getting into whether or not the new games for DS are just the same game released over and over again is a completely different argument.

I will agree that 80% of games for DS are for people too young to care about graphics.

But, I still think the ultimate game system you can get is a girlfriend... especially one with good graphics.
