I install the 4.1 softmodding from previous 4.0. How do I remove the SD/USB Loader Channel V1.5. I want to get rid of it but don't know how. I read how to do but can't remember where.

You need to use Wad Manager.  You might have read about it in section 14 of the Dummies guide.

I'm runing softmii on my 3.2u wii which I downgraded from 3.3 and everything works great. I'm able to load my games witht the game channel or usb hdd but now I'm getting an itch to go up to 4.0. Will I be able to upgrade to 4.0 using the AIO?

i held of going to 4.0 for ages but when i had a backup of my NAND on 3.2 thanks to bootmii i took the plunge

The Dummies Guide AIO currently only gets Hombrew Channel and other useful programs like USB loader working. If you want to upgrade to 4.0 then you should check out this separate guide . . .

I'm really not confident on the part where it says to downgrade to 3.2 even if I'm already runing on  3.2. Think It'll be ok?

I started with 3.4U so your situation is a little different than what I did.

The guide says . . .
"3) Downgrade to 3.2 using cIOS Downgrader even if you are already on 3.2 run this"

So yes, it should be ok.

make sure you take out your gamecube controllers if you have any when you patch IOS60

So I finally had enough to drink to try to update my 3.2 softmoded Wii to 4.0 using the Ultimate System Menu Guide. I downloaded the files using the link provided and put them in my sd card, I turned on my Wii went to data management>channels>sd card and pressed yes when asked if I wanted to load the dol. I get the usual if you payed for the software you're an Idiot message and when it says to press 1 to continue it freezes and  I stay on that screen till I turn off my system. I don't have any gamecube cards or controllers connected so I don't know why its happening but I can press 1 on my wiimote for a long time and the screen will not change. Anyone have any advice?

Edit: I was finally able to install 4.0 by following the guide found in http://webrewwii.blogspot.com/2009/04/system-menu-40-installation.html which only has 3 files to mess with. I'm happy to report that I now have the SD channels up and running.
