Ok well i got the super card SD in thailand like 2 years ago and just remembered about it so put games on it.

Everything works fine and all, i just have no idea how to add cheats (specifically for Yugioh 5Ds Stardust).

I did the whole

"Wordpad: put cheats in and "@" at the beginning of each line. And the game starts with 3773 so i renamed the "test" 3773.

but my biggest problem is, i have no idea where to put it on my memory card. When i click on it from the "My Computer" page, it doesnt give me a .cht or .scc folder. Just the 7 games i have on it.

Also on my Super Card SD menu screen (at the top) it says

List | Saver | Options | Help | 1/2

just curious if thats what it looks like for everyone, since i have a DS Giganto. (the very first one that came out - massive one)

There seems to be no Cheat tab up there.

When i go to the help tab it reads:
1. Press L+R+A+Star, enter the cheat
2. Press L+R+B+Select, enter real time saver
3. Press L+R+Star+Select, return to menu
4. Press L+R+A+Select, enter the saver serve

are all those only usable in-game? Or is it usable outside? If it can be used outside - what screen / how? If in game - the cheat one doesnt work - does it work for every game? some? any? or does it not work at all.

So for the cheat / code i have the .cht and .scc already. I went to the SC file in my c:/ and found there are cht and ndscht files in there. Why arent they in my SD card??? And if they are how to i use it!!!!!!!!

So to confirm, you have no way of booting the Supercard into DS mode, right?  When you get to the Supercard menu, only one screen has anything on it, right?  If this is true, then you can't run DS games at all and you're stuck with GBA games only.

If your DS has FlashMe installed and you can run DS games, then we're going to need some more information to figure out what's going wrong.  When you say "my menu doesn't look anything like that" which menu are you talking about?  And what does it look like then?

Well i dont know the exact name, but it works with DS games for sure. I have DS games in it by using the Super Card patch thingy that turns the files into .DAQ and .SAV

And for menu wise - Top screen shows games i have / save / etc / help
Bottom screen - Just shows " Super Card "

My menu doesnt look anything like http://www.scdev.org/forum/index.php/topic,14550.0.html any of them - im guessing thats GBA(?)

For the top tabs on my menu - is there suppost to be a "cheat" tab? Or in-game - am i supposed to activate it in there? Im not sure how the cheats work, never used it before.

I tried adding the cheat with patching software - regular one i usually used for games. Nothing happened. And when i go to the "saver" tab and try to click on it, nothing shows up(?)

Am i supposed to activate it somehow? or is it supposed to just automatically work

Okay yeah, you need to ignore the first half of that guide, as that's for the Supercard DS.  The thread has no images of the slot-2 Supercard menu, only the patching software.

How did you "add the cheat"?  You need to double-click the game name, select the cheat option, browse for the *.scc file, and then patch the game.  Along with the .dsq and .sav file in the output folder will be the *.scc file.  Copy it to your card along with the newly patched game (you can keep your old save file).  When you launch the game, it should show you the cheat menu before going into the actual game, which launches after you exit the cheat menu with B.  You can then call the cheat menu up at anytime with the button combination.

You NEED a passcard/superpass/superkey in slot one do you have one!?

its a device that fits in slot one that fools the ds into thinking there's a real DS card in the slot one but reads the information from the slot 2 card

some examples looks like these

If you don't and don't have flashme installed  (this is a firmware flash/update that removes the need to have a slot 1 card present to boot from a slot 2 card) then your not going to be able to boot any games at all unless you get a slot one passcard type device or ... find a friend that has a slot 1 ds card or a passcard so you can install or flash the flashme to your ds!


edit: you say it runs ds games ... is that now or past tense did it run them in the past when you first got the supercard did you have a slot 1 pass card device back then ?

So does it run them now?? without cheating??

it runs now yes. I can download ROMS and turn them to the files to put on my memory card.

I literally just downloaded Yugioh 5Ds (for example), did the whole - convert to .sav (etc.), put it on memory card - and works perfectly.

I think i had Flashme installed already (the guy MODed it for me while i walked around the mall lol...) So im guessing thats what he did. Everything works perfectly fine, putting games in, everything runs smoothly. The only problem is with cheats - i wanted to get all cards and found the Action Replay codes for them.

BTW: For the cheats to work - Is action replay a seperate program? Or just the name of the cheats to put in.

And no i dont have a superpass or anything in slot 1. Is it required for cheats? if it is - im gonna flip lol...

Right now i have Pokemon in slot 1 and game still runs fine. So dunno ?

How to activate cheats slot 2

Your DS had FlashMe installed while you were walking around, which means that the DS has the ability to boot your Supercard in DS mode without the use of a slot-1 passthrough device.  This means if you get a new DS at any point, you will be limited to GBA games unless you get a slot-1 passthrough device to boot it into DS mode (at which point you can install FlashMe yourself if you'd like).  Nevertheless, the passthrough device is not needed for cheats to work.  You just have to add the cheat when patching the rom or else the rom won't bother to look for the *.scc file when loading.

Kkan got the version numbers confused.  Make sure your Supercard is at firmware 1.85 (hold L+R at bootup and press A a few times to find out) and that the patcher software on your computer is v2.69 (look at the title bar of the program to find out). 

"Action Replay" is the name of the device that allows for cheating with regular DS games.  Most people refer to the codes it uses as "Action Replay cheats/codes" and your Supercard has support for these cheat files.  You don't need the AR hardware in order to get cheats to work, unless you want cheats on actual DS game cartridges (and even then, Chishm made a homebrew program called NitroHax that can apply AR cheats to real games without the AR hardware).

into a wordpad file and saved it. (the number for Yugioh is 3773 - Named the wordpad thing "3773" just that)

Ran the ar2cht - got a .cht

Ran cht2supercardcheat - got .scc

Opened the super card thing to patch game:

Add: Yugioh
             - Double Click / Right click -> Properties -> Scrolled down to "Enable Cheat [...]" -> Found the 3773 (yugioh cheat file), and clicked out
             - Put it on my card - (just dragged and dropped into a folder premade "Yugioh 5Ds") - I didnt take the .sav file though. Not sure if that changes it in anyway.

Anywho about to try it

I put the DSQ file and the new SCC file in the same folder as my Yugioh file. (not sure if it should be in a special spot) So in the file its Yugioh (SAV)  Yugioh (DSQ)  Yugioh (SCC)

Oh awesome! Ok i got the "green menu" with all the cheats:

but heres another problem.

None of them are working!!!!!!! Could be the codes itself - who knows but i think this solved it.!!!
