You can still do that if you want to but with the latest firmware you no longer need to set the booktype.  :smitten:

I have an HP burner, and when I burn 360 games first I check the ISO with ABGX360, you can download it from here: http://www.abgx360.net/
Remember to set Autofix to level 3, and save the settings with the name Default, so each time you launch ABGX it remembers the settings.
When you check the ISO with ABGX, it will create a .dvd file (if there wasn't one, if there was a .dvd file, it will check it and correct it if needed), then you launch IMGBurn, load the .dvd (not the .iso), burn it and that's it.

Yea, be sure to grab abgx and use it before you burn your games. It just checks to make sure everything is nice and stealthed.

Thanks! Just Got it and tried it out already so i would know how it works. I knew the game was stealth but needed to run it against something to see it in action.

Now i await the connectivity kit to arrive. Got the VIA card in the mail already.

Got the connectivity kit v3 bought off of ebay with a usb pen for the liteon. followed the manufacturers instructions

http://www.tiaowiki.com/w/Extracting_key%2C_spoofing_firmware_and_flashing_XBOX_360_Lite-on_DVD_drive_using_JungleFlasher_in_Windows_%28No_PC_Freezing%29

worked like a champ and was able to play my original game and the backup of it as well.

Thanks to everyone who gave me input here or via pms!

Nice! If you used JungleFlasher you probably have the firmware dumps, store them in a safe place, you can use them to flash another drive with the same key if the one you have breaks. This happened to me, a week or 2 after I updated to iXtreme 1.51, and because I saved the dumps I was able to buy a replacement drive and spoof it with my key.

Yeah, i used Jungleflasher. You need to keep all 4 .bin files right. Is that it? do i need to backup anything else?

I was planning on backing them up on a disc and then email them to my online email addresses so they are in three places (a little over the top, sure. Less chance of losing them, totally.).

Lol I save everything just to be sure. Glad you got it flashed. Welcome to the club  8)

Thanks, i am still a little to wussy to take in on live with an actuall account. Can you update games/the xbox safely? I did take it online (but gave no data so it must just be a silver account or what i do not know?) to get the update so my daughter can make an avatar. Then i just unplugged it from the network. I still have the other 360 that i use for my live playing. I really do not want to lose that account.

Yes you can just take the game disc out of the account and let it do system updates safely. Though to do actual game updates you will have to go online with the game in. I usually just put the game in turn it on and if it doesn't ask for an update I unplug the wireless adapter to the 360. Remember, for everyone 1 person who says they play online all the time with a modded system, there is another 2 people who will tell you they got banned because of it. There is NO 100% proof way of playing online with a modded console to prevent a ban.

Why don't you create another gamertag for your modded console? If you aren't going to play online with it there is no loss. Anyway, MS doesn't ban your gamertag, it bans your console, so if you have an unmodded Xbox for online and the modded one is banned, you can still play online with the other one.

If you are going to mod a console, why not go online with it? Otherwise you may as well buy a box that has already been banned lol.  :buck2: He's right though, there's no %100 way to prevent a ban but at the same time, Microsoft doesn't have a 100% positive way to detect modded consoles. If so, we would get banned on sight. Took almost 2 years before I got my first ban, most likely due to me being foolish and playing Gears2 two weeks early, in online co-op no doubt. Me and my co-op buddy got banned lol.

For me, i do not play many games online, well two halo 3 and call of duty for the most part. Going online is not why i flashed the 360. I may get updates if possible but that is about it.

Playing gears 2, 2 weeks early. Not your brightest move, but i am sure you feel the same way about it.

Remember, I only paid 16 dollars for the 360. Then sent it off to MS to be repaired. I did buy a 35 dollar connectivity kit along with a 14 via sata card. So total i have into it is $65 dollars. I am pretty happy about it all the way around and have it not online, that is how it will be. Also my 10 yr old daughter does not need to go online with it anyways.

Cool, sounds like you came out on top all the way around  :cool2:
