does it work on the supercard if so how does it work ?

Koji

Link to the program?

I doubt it will have support for the supercard... but if it's open source I'm sure cory or someone else could direct supercard reading support fairly fast.

It may work on supercard right now, but it'd probably be limited to 32MB... depends if it has a rom builder. A link would be really really useful.

Dudu.exe

Its form the same creator of Moonshell..

and with fat drives suporting SC i dont see why do not put SC compatibility

Koji

Again... link so I can do some testing?

(edit) Found it here http://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/nds/

I do not however see any mention of SC support. I'll mess around with it and give my results.

(edit 2) It does come with it's source. I don't see any mention of anything super card related. Again, going to play around with it.

(edit 3) I tried combining an mpeg 1 file (mpeg 1 192x144 24fps 128kbps as per the websites instructions) with the bin using the same method as moonshell... but sadly I just get "Demo version of mpeg 2 decoder". No menu... so it's probably only ment for GBamp so far. But with the entire source hopefully our hero Cory or someone else will make a port for us to play with.

(edit 4) OHhhhhhhhhhhhh What I downloaded was NOT a release. There is no released version... what this is, is simply a demo. It's already got a video on it -blushes- I don't think a version for anyone to use it out yet.

(edit 5) http://rapidshare.de/files/9212997/Mpeg1_sample.zip.html There is the sample in format that works on supercard. Here is the stats on the video:
video:MPEG1 192x144pixels 24fps 128kbps CBR 1,839,870Bytes
audio:MPEG1-LayerII 32000Hz 1ch 96kbps CBR 1,380,240Bytes

The video is nearly 2 minutes long (approx 1:56 according to my watch) at 3.1 megs. Therefore a 24 minute episode will  around 35-40 megs at this quality. Not too bad. Lowering the frame rate to 12fps would probably raise the quality of the image, as would variable or 2-pass encoding. Or you can raise the res and hopefully put a bit more into it without it crashing would be good too.

Cyprien Walker

so you won't be able to import your own movie ? :( to bad :(

Koji

Cyprien: Not yet. It's a demo... though I guess if you were enterprising enough you could do it since the source code was released.

Quote from: "skydra"This is really going to be cool!

From what I can understand, we'll probably only really see mpeg1 video support (at least at bitrates that'd matter). I did notice in the source it makes mentions of MP3... so we may get MP3 support in mpeg1 videos which would reduce the size.
