It doesn't really matter. the cheapos last shorter.
the amount of cards that don't work is negledgable.
If you want to get rid of a minute bit of slowdown in nds games you can go with an high speed sd card.
gba games are unaffected cause the roms are loaded into the supercard before playing them.

I got a SD Sandisk Extreme III at 133x and DS play seems ok, though I can't play AC without loading it from SC first, a bit too slow.

the extreme III is nice for pc transfers though
