the only thing this one improved over the original is the adjustable brightness, i don't give a shit to design, and jesus all i can think off is that they left this feature out of the original on purpose just so they could kindof justify a redesign, i mean seriously, how hard is to think on adjustable brightness

Not that it is worth arguing over, but I was replying to this quote.  He made it sound like Nintendo left a brightness control out of the original DS deliberately, but none of the previous Gameboys had it.  The PSP had it, and Micro was released after.

Micro was 10 months after the DS. Quite a long time to test out new stuff.

Does anyone else think this may launch with the revolution here in the US?

It would probably be released before the Revolution.  The DS was released within a month of the US and Japan.  The Rev is rumoured to be released near Thanksgiving.  They could release it anytime between March to December.  DS-Lite would most likely be released in the Summer.

i agree... probably in the summer for U.S. and Canada...

If the initial reports (after japan  release) show that DS Lite is flash-able, and works with supercard, I'll import one.  I much prefer my micro's screen to my DS screen, and I'll buy the DS Lite for the screen upgrade.

I doubt it'll even be that long. The system is out in March in japan. It'll probably be out April or May at latest.
