I figured out the economics and its cheaper to send it to you almost than it is even to buy me a seperate SK or P3.

Of course i'd not be able to use sleep mode without a making sure to bring a DS cart with me and and that basically kind of defeats the purpose of sleep mode....maybe if i could find someone selling dummy DS cards, especially fush DSL ones...


...or flashmeV8 supports sleepmode.

Of course paying the same service charge for less work seems kinda much

Yes, if you don't mind the turnaround time then it would be cheaper to have me flash your NDSL/DSL for you.

I'm not going to lower my service charge because there is still a slight chance I will have to perform the BIOS swap trick anyway. I haven't personally bricked a NDSL yet, but it could happen.  Fortunately I have other NDSLs I can use to perform the BIOS recovery procedure, so I'm "brick" proof.

Okay I shipped my superpass 2 today but I have to warn you it is in relay bad condition.  the whole thing is basicaly glued together because I had a very hard time taking it apart ( I used a sodering iron with a x-acto knife on the tip).  and then I found out I couldent do the upgrade thing because it didnt have the right connections.  and the switch on the side broke off so basicaly its a piece of junk but at least it still works(I think) :wink: .

Your Superpass2 is in bad condition indeed.  I guess you had a heck of a time taking it apart in the first place.  I'll give you an "A" for effort trying to glue the thing back together.  However, it doesn't fit into my programmer in it's current condition.  I'm not interested in breaking my programmer trying to force your superpass2 into the slot.  If you approve I will discard the plastic casing and try to program the bare PCB, otherwise I will return it "as is".

Could you just rip the thing apart but keep the plastic so I can put it back together.  Do what ever you need to do to get it to work.  Take as much time as you need because I just got my passcard 3 in the mail today and I dont realy need the superpass right now.  I am just wondering why doesnt it fit?  It fits in the DS slot of a DS

Sorry rocky it doesn't fit.  Your glue repair job makes it too thick.  When your  superpass2 started bending the pins on my programmer I aborted.  I will take your word that it fits in a DS but I'm not going to try it myself. I was under the impression that all I needed to do was re-program it for you. You didn't tell me about it's condition until after you mailed it.  I've decided it's not worth the effort to try and fix it, especially considering you have a passcard 3 now.  I'm going to return it in the same condition as you sent it.  Better luck with your passcard 3.

As you can see from the following pictures your DS Lite is fixed.  This one was a little more difficult because fuse F2 was blown. I repaired the fuse and restored the bios to Flashme v7 lite.  My wife will mail your DS Lite back to you Monday. Enjoy.

Thanks alot man , Thank god for this site and you. After I bricked it , I was sure my DS lite  would end up in the trash. But I got my baby back today and its good as new. It was very nice of you to put the flashme lite on it.

Hi Chris, you should be receiving my dslite next couple days...let me know how it goes. It might just need a sc to boot into failsafe mode and continue flashing....thanks.

Yep, I was able to recover your DS Lite firmware by putting flashme v7 on my Supercard and performing the A+B+Start+Select recovery procedure. I will mail your DS Lite back tomorrow (Saturday). Enjoy.

(NOTE: hchc only has a Datel Media Dock, no supercard.)

edit: just as a side note, I bought a new nds phat a while back, so I do have one. But if I got my old one working I could give it to my sister who literally dreams about owning an nds.
