Movie Converter Crashes

When I use the movie converter that came with my SC, it always crashes when it finishes a video.  Sometimes the file is saved, sometimes it isn't.  The error message is usually something about trying to access some memory location with a hex number (the address?  is this important?).

It wouldn't bother me too much except that sometimes the files disappear, which means I wasted all that time for nothing, and I can't convert a batch of files because it crashes after the first one.

I've already done a clean reinstall, reinstalled all codecs, checked for viruses and spyware, and other simple things.  What else may be the cause of the problem?

Have you tried a different sample video?  What type of movie are you trying to encode?

ShadowFalls

I have the same issue also, it does not matter the source video. It seems to happen when it attempts to play it back and the sound is what crashes it.

It doesn't matter which video or video codec.  I've tried quicktime, AVI and WMV.

Does Moonshell version 0.90 do the same thing?  What OS are you running, 64bit windows?

Here are all my system stats, if it matters:

Intel P4 3.0GHz
Windows XP (32 bit) SP2
512MB RAM
80GB SATA Hard Drive
Radeon x300 PCIe video card

I don't have moonshell, because I don't have a pass me.  I know moonshell plays videos too, but I want to be able to watch videos on my GBM (DS with Pass Me is too big to fit in pockets)

Did you try MPG files?
