Does anyone know if the rumble pak is the actually making the vibrations, or if it is just sending a signal to the ds to vibrate?  "It seems like it is coming from the rumble pak cartrige because it is pretty weak".
I'm just wondering how it actually works? "I'm guessing that the ds must send out a signal when the rumble pak needs to activate" I just bought metroid prime pinball and it comes with the rumble pak ds.

There are no motors inside of the DS to create vibration, thus the only thing that makes sense would be if the motor is inside the rumble pack.

Yes, it's actually the rumble pak. If you were to take it apart (someone did, but I can't find the link) you'd find the vibration motor on a circuit board.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

It would be nice to use the rumble pak with the sc, but that can't happen untill  sc starts using the nds game slot instead of the gba slot.
(Well actually, the rumble pak isn't that great at all, or at least not on metroid pinball)
