If only there was a pic of the battery cover off so we could see the SL1 access!

MAD2X

Nice find thanks, I like where the mic and light now is, but I really dont like where the select and start is placed, it would be annoying when playing some nes games. The color does really look bad on those pics, let's hope it's just the camera they used! I dont see any screen brightness button? Must be on the side somewhere I guess.

Also it seems like the GBA slot cover would open from bottom up, then you would fit your GBA catrige and close back the cover. That will be annoying for all the flash carts out there bigger then a GBA cart, like our supercard and M3's etc. I wonder if a supercard SD would even fit in there, the cover might be totally in the way. I guess we could always rip that cover off lol.
ilver NDS w/Flashme V.6

intendo ahve gone mad. or they have jsut made it flash and passme proogf to stop piracy of their games.

well, take a look at these pictures for the fcc
https://gullfoss2.fcc.gov/prod/oet/forms/blobs/retrieve.cgi?attachment_id=626995&native_or_pdf=pdf

it could come from the flash of the photocam, but I think
the plastic looks old and yellow... :?

the new design in black would be nice.

does anyone found some pics with of a running new ds?
want to know how good the quality is and if they really
used the new tft's they got in the micro, if so, that would
be a reason to buy one...

just my 2 cents,

MHentai

it's the FCC photos, I took the NDS pics in there a long time ago, and the color is the same. see  the link

Halpa

I think it's great!

One thing I hate in first DS and clearly they haven't changed it:
Volume control! That is so lame... I prefer exact (+) and (-) buttons...

Interesting, it seems SL1 is soldered together in that photo.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Critical_Impact

Probably so they can easily write to the protected version of the firmware

Lite Back (Completely different, with SL1, left corner of bottom right)

what the hell kind of question is that?  i dont know.  but i dont think it will be nearly as easy...

ure White DS w. Flashme v7
Supercard SD (Viking 512MB High Speed)
Supercard DS (one) Kingston 1gb microSD
EFZ Advance 256Mbit

Two things I notice are:-
1) There is a sticker top left like the one over the SL1 contact. Could it be the new point to short for flashing?
2) It looks to me like a GBA cartridge will stick out of the bottom. What do you think?

Damn, nice.  That's great news.  I missed it somehow.

meangreenie

I guess it will be more power efficient too.  I agree about the colour of the plastic, tobacco stained yellow
Yes I'm mad

simple question

Well it's a simple question that is not simple to answer.  Even if there was no SL1 it doesnt mean that there is no other way to flash the system.  We'll just have to wait until some of us get our hands on them to have solid answers.  Next time dont ask such a simple question.

q_armando

It seems to me that since SL1 is still on the board(even though somewhere else) it should be possible to flashme the new DS.
I read all kind of comments about stupid details ,for example the stylus is now on the site-oh I love it-oh I hate it, oh my gosh start and select have been moved eetc. etc. etc. and so on.
GUYS THOSE ARE ALL MINORS DETAILS!!
Don't forget the reason such an upgrade exists is that now i't liter and slimmer(could live without it anyway) but the biggest improvement is the DISPLAY!!!
Come on, don't you realize that it will have a new display wchich will be on par with those in the GBM and new GBA SP's ?
I think that't the gratest news, infact I will buy one just because of that , regardless every other little modification.
Have you ever seen side by side the new GBA SP display and the current DS one ?
It made me nearly wish to get an SP instead.
So I think the display it's the most important modification, and I am getting insane why nobody talcks about it but everybody gets so picky because the power button it's on the side now....
The display it's going to affect how the games look, which will be the number 1 reason to get a DS Lite.
