With MoonShell you can:
-play some audio formats,
-play movies in dpg format,
-view text files,
-view some picture formats,
-customize it with your own skin ;),
-check current time and temperature.

You can get it here:
http://mdxonline.dyndns.org/archives/nds/index.html
It is updated frequently and still improving.

To install just run Setup.exe and choose options you need.

Search forums for more info.

To get fully upgraded version:
moonshell0992test4.zip
If it doesn't work, try downloading moonshell099.zip and replace its files with files of moonshell0992test4.zip.
When you are done, download moonshell0992test4-dpgenc2.zip and replace files again.

You have to run Setup.exe on your computer from anywhere you want but remember to choose your memory card when setup asks for target drive.

Now you should be able to run created by setup _BOOT_MP_SC.nds on your SC.

To convert movies to dpg use dpgenc.exe.

GIDZzz

Make sure you are using _BOOT_MP_SC.nds, not _BOOT_MP.nds. If you still get black screens, drag _BOOT_MP.nds onto dsbuild.exe in wintools folder, then rename created _BOOT_MP.ds.gba to _BOOT_MP.nds.

Hope this helps.

Well, thanks for the instructions, I got it to work perfectly on my SC CF. Is there a limit on how large the Mpeg file can be? I remember hearing something about 32 MB....

File size is limited only by your memory card capacity.

There was 32MB limit when MoonShell didn't support reading directly from memory card and it was long time ago.

I have a PSP and a GP32 ( if you don't know what a GP32 is look here http://www.gbax.com/gp32review.html )

Both great for all of the formentioned functions of Moonshell.

Is it worth me bothering with moonshell on my DS?
