Does anyone know if their is a warranty on the supercard? and how long is the waranty? because my SD card wouldent stay in, it just kept poping out and now their is a plastic piece that broke off and fell out of the spring area I thing. is their anyway I can fix it? I bought this card at christmas.

Koji

I don't think there is any warranty per se... you can try e-mailing the people you bought it from and see what they have to say and if they have a return policy.

okay yea they have one on their site, I emailed them, I thought the supercard company had one thoe.

Like I said, I doubt it. Unlike purchasing something that's manufactured or distributed through a north american or european distributer supercard is produced predominantly in China or Hong Kong, and isn't exactly a legal device.

It's kind of the risk you take, luckily most places you can get them from are very good about sending replacement units if one doesn't work.

Oh so your saying its illegal to have a Supercard in the US or are you saying its illegal to sell in the US?

The supercard is in a very grey area. It's designed to play backups... it's legal to play your own backups and it's legal to use it to play homebrew applications... but most people don't use it to backup their own games, but use it to play copies they acquire illegally. Especially since it gets around copy protections (there have been a couple law suits that go both ways on the legality of circumventing copy protections).

That said, I know some people who've had GBA backup devices confiscated during a customs check, and nintendo and other companies (sony and microsoft) have cracked down on many websites sellings any devices that circumvent protections in or to people in north america.
