I recently emailed Team 17 to see if there was any plans to release lemmings on the DS, apparently Sony now own the licence to Lemmings and have put a stop to any plans to port it to the DS keeping it as an exclusive PSP title. Are there any homebrew versions of lemmings on the DS? It would be excellent to be able to play lemmings using the stylus>is this just a pipe dream?

I hope they'll make it soon. It's very possible i think

If you want to play it so badly, you can play Sega Master System version

Yeah but like he said it would be nice to have a homebrew version using the touch screen. Someone already made a post for the same thing a while back. And I dont think it's in the works. But you never know, there are some smart ppl out there able to do this, but it takes time.

What does Team 17 have to do with Lemmings?

This is not a sarcastic response, but I thought DMA Design / Psygnosis created Lemmings?

You're wrong. Team 17 IS the devoloper of the PSP version of the game. It says here on Wikipedia:

"In March 2006, Sony released a remake of Lemmings for the PlayStation Portable handheld console, developed by Team 17 Software"

Fair enough :)

I didn't know Team 17 created a conversion for the PSP.

At risk of sounding arrogant, I'm not actually wrong.

DMA Design did actually create the Original version of Lemmings for the Amiga, and it was published by Psygnosis.

Check out:

But I do see the point your making, the mighty Team 17 did do a version for the PSP.  So we are both correct ;)

But why, o why do we not have a DS version????

What did you think of the DS version of Worms?

I think it is explained in the first post and it makes sense. Sony owns the licence they most likely won't let  a DS version of the game.. Anyways I still belive in homebrewers. they're making really good jobs and sooner or later, they're gonna take care of this. :)
