Supercard MiniSD ????

99.9% sure they won't matey, SD Mini is smaller in all 3 dimentions and by the looks of the pictures a standard SD card wouldn't fit

Well, thought I'd see. I play with all these things at work and as far as I was concerned a miniSD was just half the height fo a normal sd....all the adaptors are is bits of plastic with two metal clamps that hold the end and make it up to standard SD height. I'm fairly sure they're the same depth and width though. My guess and indeed, limited experience) is that they will work if you hold them in...it's the locking mechanisim that I'm concerned with.

Unless I'm confusing mini SDs with that other type of small SDs whose name escapes me right now...

I think you are confusing SD's with MMC cards. Reduced size MMC's are the same width and depth as normal MMC's, but they are half the length.

it's not the same width. the pins do not line up. it won't work. i have transflash, SD and miniSD. they use the same protocol, but are not simply "shorter" than one another..

Ah. A bit of Wikipedia'ing reveals I was indeed thinking of RS-MMC. Shame. Wonder why the decided to change the physical shape to something so....bizzare (i.e. non-straight edges) when they came up with the two smaller SD sizes. Ho hum.

and even RS-MMC is based on mmc protocol.. MMC has the same pin configuration as SD, but not all SD devices can take MMC's. I have an old mp3 player that uses MMC. i think that format is dying out.

I ordered my miniSD supercard from hopebuy, but now i'm wondering whether they are really ready to ship or not. I haven't got a confirmation email or anything from them, and no answer to my emails.

does anyone here have experience with hopebuy? are they pretty good? I noticed my paypal payment went to romman tan himself.. so i guess hopebuy is romman.net's internet storefront.

I have order several times Hopebuy. They are good and yes... that is Romman's place. Just a bit expensive on the shipping end though.

I figured out why i couldent view the description page on hopebuy its because firefox doesnt work with it I tried internet explorer and it works perfect.

NO stock of miniSD supercard @ sueprcardstore until at 24th April they tell me.. maybe before that date but they can't promise.

Well SD Mini uses the same protocols as SD so it probably uses the SD software
