I just got my 2gb transcend sd card, supercard and passkey 2....in the mail. Got the firmware flashed....got the ds supercard to boot up with the bottom touch screen....nothing will load! the closest I got was loading mario advance- super mario 3...to the first screen and it froze. I am running the newest firmware and I know it is FW4- It is the red ds. So I need help getting games to load with showing a white screen....also how to use the patching programs....thank you. one last thing I tried all the different nds loading programs and none worked! so please help!

Just because your DS is red doesn't mean it's FW4.  The procedure is different depending on what version DS firmware you have. Help us help you by checking your version . . .

it is fw4....also how important is the renaming of roms?

I don't understand the question exactly.

If you are talking about homebrew, yes you need to rename *.ds.gba files to *.ds.nds to run on supercard.

If you are talking about commercial roms you need to patch "clean dump" game roms . . .
1) verify game roms with Nintenren software
2) patch game roms with latest supercard patcher software (v2.52)
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
3) use this list for best patcher software options
http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) copy patched *.dsq and *.sav files to SD
5) run patched files in DS mode

I am asking you if the file names of the roms are important. because any game I run I get a white screen after patching them. Also how do you use loadme for a ds game? I am trying to get brain age to work. Nothing works!

You can name your *.nds files to anything you want.  Use the latest supercard patcher software to output patched *.dsq and *.sav files. You need to use latest firmware for supercard.  You need to make sure the supercard is starting in DS mode, with the dual screen supercard logo menu.

spyderchaz

It is named *.nds, I also have the newest firmware 1.61 on the ds, I have patched it and it doesn't work. Also I have booted into the dual screen supercard screen and the *.nds files do not work! Do I have to put all the files in a root directory? I am losing my mind with this thing. I tested the supercard by holding L+R and it told me the sram was good so i really dont know whats wrong.

Stop yelling at me!  :)  Supercard only runs homebrew *.nds files.  You must patch commercial *.nds roms.  The supercard patcher software will output *.dsq and *.sav files.  Copy these files to your SD, not the *.nds files.  If you don't see the files in the supercard menu, then you are in GBA mode.  You need to make sure your supercard is starting in DS mode.

spyderchaz

the supercard is starting in ds mode. I know about the patching I have tried to patch using the program and i still get 2 white screens.  :? I have read every forum backwards and forwards and tried everything that is why I am coming to the expert now!

Sorry, I think you are confused about something but I haven't pinpointed what that is.  I understand you are frustrated about white screens.  White screens will happen if you are doing something wrong.  I doubt there is something wrong with your hardware, but maybe.  How do you know you are running in DS mode?  Why would you ask me about renaming files?  Can you run homebrew?  Please answer these questions.

So, you've patched the NDS roms, placed the *.dsq and *.sav files onto your memory card, and whenever you try to start the rom from inside the Supercard menu, you get two white screens?

w00t!  I'm not alone!   :(

Well, now there are two people with the exact same problem with different products.  One being you with a Supercard with full sized SD, the other being me with a Supercard miniSD.

Try running an NES rom from your SD card and let me know if it works, as NES roms are just about the only thing I can run.

spyderchaz

nes games work other than that the supercard is a POS! Is is because I am running a red ds? I get supercard ds to load and everything this sucks.

A lot of people herald the Supercard as the second coming of Jesus, thus the reason why I purchased one.

I'm just a little lost as to why a few people have no luck at all getting them to work.  =\

Anyone have any ideas that we haven't tried yet?  As mentioned above, our problem seems to be a file size limit of about 32KB.
