ok i have an Supercard SD, a Superpass2 and a kingston 2gig SD card. i have a DSLite on the way (June 11th) and was wondering a few things.

1) I know that you need a real DS game to flash the DS. i have New Super Mario Bros. can i do it with that one? or do i need an older game?

2) Do i need to patch the .nds roms before transfering them to the SD card? i have that supercard software but it has no instructions on what it's for.

3) Should i just dump all the .nds files on the SD card or put them each into individual folders?

4) Will the brightness settings of the Lite still be available after flashing?

i think thats about it. the forums have helped me a lot lately. thanks in advance

2) You take the clean ROM dumps (.nds) and add them to the patcher (software). You then select options such as where it saves to, where it runs from (usually you'll want both to be SD) and if you want to trim it and such. You then press the OUT button and it will create two files, a .dsq and a .sav You want to put both in the same location, and they should have the same name (so if you rename one, rename the other). The .dsq files is the game you would select on the supercard menu, and the .sav is where your saves are kept.

3) The way I have it set up is I have a folder for Homebrew, and a folder for DS Games. I put all the DS games and their saves in that one folder.

Avoid too many files in one folder on the SD.  I think 50 was the limit.

New Super Mario isn't supported yet.  You need a different game.

You need Flashme 7 lite.

Install the latest superpass2 software and look on the list.  That's what I did.
