Think down the road the Supercard team will produce a supercard for the lite.  a compact version that fit just like the gba cover?

darkuni

Other teams are already doing it ... I can't see Romman being left out :)

Still waiting for romman.. Just one mention that he is going to make one that fits flush and I will not think of impure thoughts (ezivlite) XD

btw darkuni: nice show i have listened to all your episodes but you could afford to be a little more.. energetic (is referring the the podcast as a whole)

darkuni

I am the energetic one ... You must be thinking about Chris :)

Thanks for the nice words.  Did you like the recent one?  I thought the Gamestop tirade went a bit long, but EVERYONE seems to love it.  heheheheh

What I'd really love to see... (preferably by Supercard)

A DS-Lite flashcart that uses either Mini-SD, RS-MMC, or xD, has nothing more than a PCB board, 32 megs of RAM (or more if it's not too expensive) and the firmware be EXTERNAL. That's right, instead of having a large chip on board for the firmware, have a smaller one that points to a SuperFirm.nds file on the media card. This way you can make the firmware as big as you want (update those emulators) and add extensions to it. It would also save physical space not having that large firmware chip. Also, no battery please, Supercard SD and CF don't have one and are working fine. Just add an SRAM and Clock patcher to the software for GBA games that use it (Like the pokemon games).

And the biggest thing that would make it different than all other DS-Lite flashcarts... Make it available in White, Light Blue, and Navy. Just like the dust covers (including that little extra piece of plastic) so that when you have it in, it matches your DS and no one is the wiser till you start playing games. Then you can whip it out and show them the logo on the card.

That's my dream flashcart right there, External firmware and media, and colors that match your DS Lite.

Hate to burst your bubble but EZ-flash IV lite comes with shells in the colours you have mentioned.

Roman on his forum said " Sigh...did u read the other threads?
Supercard team only release information about hardware that is already finished."

so we just wait.....

and Mini-sd might not be an option for the other companies have tried and they had to resort to micro sd.

Also regarding colours white, light blue and black!

This is because a lot more people will have black that dark blue due to the ratio of console availble for sale in the region.

That's some guy who purposely confuses people into thinking he's The RomMan. Understand, he IS NOT "romman", he's "Roman" and uses the same avatar as "romman" to further confuse people that don't know he has no connection to SC Team. He's kind of a dick to newbie types, and frequently doesn't know WTF he's talking about.

Oddly, enough... I think this time he's right.

And what's wrong with him being right this time? I honestly dont care if a super small lite version is ever released because I'm satisfied with what I have now. No matter how small the companies make these things, someone is ALWAYS gonna cry for something even smaller. Just be happy that romman has even given it thought.  8)

He's not RomMan. His point was that SC Team doesn't hype future products. He's right, but he wants people to think that has the final word direct from HQ, he doesn't. He has no conection to SC Team.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'd look forward to it, but I'm really into the removable media business.  However I doubt I'd ever get more than a gig. I might consider if there was to be a 1GB one.... but even then I'd need to convert my saves over and such. I'd really prefer a Supercard version.
