How does switching between an rpg and guide work?

I read on supercard.cn that with the kernel program you can switch between the game and the guide when you press some buttons. Does anyone know how this works and how to set it up? Sounds pretty rad.

Ahhh - switching between a game and a text file!  I've been meaning to make a FAQ about this!

OK, in the Supercard software, right click on a rom and then select Properties.  Check the box marked "Enable Add Text File" and then press the "..." box.  Select the text file you want to reference while playing the game and hit "OK."

Now convert the rom as normal and transfer to your CFM.  When you boot the game, press L+R+Start+B to switch to the text file.

So do I need to download the kernel program to do that? Where do I put it if yes? And do you just hit L+R+START+B to go back to the game? And I'm guessing you can only add a .txt file to the game. Easily found from gamefaqs.com.

I think the kernel program is just what Romman called the old version of the Supercard software.  Just use the latest Supercard Software version 2.10 with the above described procedure to add a .txt file to your ROMs.
