Roman seems very busy with supercard these days    Good for us

Movie Player (2005.8.7 update)

It seems it has been updated. No news on what changed (as usual)
Please test it and share your impression!!

Bye  :D

Bafyo

Just tried it very fast.
Only difference I can tell so far (since I don't have any file to use with) is that this media player is totally in english. If you go in the help screen you can read everything (the other one was totally japanese). Even the background is different. Maybe we have to try if media made with 1.50 version of gbamedia works.

Who knows...

Ya, me too :(
Ah well, perhaps one day.  I don't really care since even with the crystal engine, it still looks bad.  Maybe when they finally get around to using the DS itself to help with the decompressing, it'll be acceptable.  10fps is most definitely not.

MasterMan

No changes in the player engine other than the locatization itself and the new background.
In the help session, it says it's the same 1.30 vesion of before, dated march 2004.
None of the less, it's nice to see everything in a friendly language (i'm brazilian and english it's my second language of choice).

Sorry i forget post this information. Put the backimg file in the root directory of your CF and after open Filmplay.gba, new background appear.

The GBA Skinner work with version e10 (super card FilmPlay) but you must modify the backimg in hex editor.

You will need a hex editor to do this. Assuming you have and know how to use one, this is how you do it.
I recommend hex work shop

1) Open the BACKIMG file with a hex editor.
2) Copy the two bytes at 0x2CA1C in the two bytes at 0x2CA1A and 0x2CA1B.
4) Changes the two bytes at 0x2CA16 (0C ) for 30.
5) Changes the two bytes at 0x2CA18 (58 ) for 80.
6) Delete the 4096 bytes starting at 0x2BA00 ie from 0x2BA00 to 0x2C9FF.
7) Save the file with the same name (make a backup of the old BACKIMG).

Saludos.

So do all backimg files need to be modified for the supercard filmplay application, or is this just a bug in the original skinning application (against later movie player builds)?
