Copy and paste it into a .txt file then rename it to or 'save as' a .bat file. Then put that .bat in the same folder as instructed and then double click it to run it.

Put all the files from the package  in a folder called "ff3" (without quotes) and put that folder in you're c: drive right on the root  (c:\ff3). Now put a clean ff3 rom into that folder and rename it ff3.nds (if the extension .nds is not in the name just change the name to ff3)

Now on you're desktop click 'start'-> 'run' and copy and paste this..     c:\ff3\ndstool.exe -x ff3.nds -9 arm9.bin -7 arm7.bin -y7 y7.bin -y9 y9.bin -d data -y overlay -t banner.bin -h header.bin ...into the box, and hit the OK button.

When finished open the folder c:\ff3 and put the 3 .msd files in there into the 'data' folder.

now again click 'start'-> 'run' and copy paste this into the run box ..       c:\ff3\ndstool.exe -c ff3_new.nds -9 arm9.bin -7 arm7.bin -y7 y7.bin -y9 y9.bin -d data -y overlay -t banner.bin -h header.bin   ...and hit the OK button.

when finished look in the c:\ff3 and see the file ff3_new.nds. Treat this like the original ff3 rom and patch it (enable cartidge access) and send to mem card (with the save file)

what sucks for me here in singapore is that megaupload constantly says my nation's slots (150) are all taken.. and singapore has over 4 million people, and a VERY high percentage of which are on broadband.. ridiculous to give us 150 slots..

can anyone please mirror the file?  or pm me with some details of how I can grab it?

Not a bad project here...

Don't want to do piracy so if I am faced with an overwhelming urge to play this I will still buy the English version and maybe even import the Japanese version (and play it again because the official translation will definitely be pretty different, and they can change more than just plain text strings!).
Looking at the wiki, the translators are doing pretty decent writing here. I'm very impressed, since I've come to expect much less these days

Quite annoying that this was released in Japanese first since half the hype around this game is that this will be the first time FF3 is officially released in English, but I guess it's all about where the developers are...
I wish they'd done the translation earlier on, though.

Anyway, I'm hoping they'll continue doing remakes of other old FF games, moving them from 2d to 3d on the DS.
