hey peeps, not what board this should go, anyways...

so like I was bored tonight and decided to change the battle menu and main menu to English. here's a youtube vid I made of it. I'll post the modification online if you guys are interested.
Also note that the 'Status' menu is labeled 'Zemus' as proof that it was indeed me that did it. not that this was hard but it did take some trial and error heh.
So what do you guys think?


There were also limitations to the length of each word... specifically they had to be the same char length as the Japanese word. For example, in japanese Attack only has 4 characters, so I labeled it Atak, heh.

update:  Also I think someone figured out a way to bypass the word length limitation... but I was only interested in the proof of concept hehe, so I'll let someone else figure out how they did it.

yeah, I dont understand Japanese at all. I've used that wiki as my source for the translation.

I'll post the rom up later tonight after i mod a couple of other menus.

and how did you translate it ? did you use a program to open the ds rom and it was all in Text files ?

Excellent work.  You might be able to post your ROM someplace else, but posting a modified commercial ROM is still copyright infringement.  I suggest finding a tool that will create a binary patch of the differences between the original ROM and your modified ROM.  You could distribute a binary patch without breaking any laws.

No, you can't post patched ROMs in this forum.  What you can post is a ROM patch.  Do you understand the difference?
