The Missing Link

I recently purchased a SuperCard CF within the past few weeks and I'm trying to get homebrew running on it. However, I'm running into a few roadblocks when trying to save data onto my card. According to the wonderful guys over at DSOrganize, the SC/CF should be compatible with chishm's LibFAT. However, everything I'm seeing runs to the contrary:

(1) DSOrganize (2.3 Blue) does not get past installation. It immediately bypasses the SuperCard CF driver (it must fail somehow) and then hangs when trying the SuperCard SD driver. (So sayeth DragonMinded that this is a problem since CF is checked prior to SD.)

(2) DSLiveWeather says in the upper screen that "LibFAT failed!" when trying to boot up.

The card came with the 1.62 firmware, and I have updated to the 1.63 firmware found here. I am using the .sc.nds files/.ds.gba renamed files.

The one strange part that I'm noticing is that my SC/CF card is grey whereas all of the ones on www.supercard.cn show them being greyish-purple.

Am I missing something here?
