Rumble...pshh-ahhh, really no use for it -_-

FifthE1ement

I predicted a SuperCard announcement along with their upcoming performance update but I never expected anything like this. I was expecting a Slot 1 solution announcement design as all the other manufacturers are heading in this direction. To me this feels so much like a cop out and rather as if they are saying, "Well, we have no slot 1 for you but hell here is the rumble your missing anyway!"

I do hope my prediction of the SuperCard software and firmware performance updates across the board come true, but I am also excited to see what the DS-X and the Acekard can do so bring'em on!

Rubbish, supercard feels less amazing than she once did. Their complete lack of interest in GBA really jerks me. Fifthy is right though, that new AceKard is where its at. I can't wait to partitian the ds into two seperate 2gig cards :). Of course it all comes down to that next software release. Supercard could still woo me there if somebody shows a little more interest in compatiblity.

when are they ganna update pocketNES, or is that something i can do?

I knew there was a reason why I didn't order the SC Lite yet. Personally I welcome a newer faster better Supercard with rumble support.  I don't understand why Romman would completely drop GBA support though? I think GBA support is the main reason people continue to choose slot2 solutions. I don't care about GBA support myself.

hm... im mostly interested in the power save feature. i wonder how well itll work on the battery now.

I am willing to bet that no changes will be made to the performance of the SuperCard products other than the addition of the rumble feature. They might, however, include the great memory bandwidth currently found on the SCL on all the SD models though.

I just can't figure out why they don't make a slot 1 device without GBA anyway and let us buy our own damn rumble pack!

I think Romman will/must make a slot1 solution.

Well I am dissappointed that they dropped GBA support completely, one of the main reasons I considered the M3 carts was for the GBA support, but I chose supercard over M3.  GBA is still very important, and I was hoping that the next Supercard would bring better GBA support not lose it completely.

But one positive note is that they have rumble feature.  Which is great, the Supercard team is thinking up of things that are different and unusual.  Having a built in rumble pack seems like a small step but to me it says that the Supercard has more space to fit things in there for future use.  That means in the future maybe they can put the battery needed for GBA games or something like that.  I would like to see something like Supercard GBA series or something with a battery and better GBA support...

Who's the one making these decisions, is it just romman himself? Why don't they just ask us what the majority wants and then do it. I wouldn't mind having rumble support but it's not even close as to the other issues that could have been addressed. I personally think that this was a waste of their time and effort but obviously it's just one opinion. Slot-1 was meant for DS and Slot-2 was meant for GBA, dunno why they're not trying to work towards that.

Ummmm
Why're people getting excited over the rumble feature?
Unless they have signigicantly improved nintendo's rumble design its going to be more of an annoyance than enhancing gameplay.
The offcial rumble pack provides almost no force feedback and makes a very annoying noise which is more noticable than the rumble itself, which probably explains why they're practically giving it away!
My concern is that if they have upped the rumbling this can cause damage to the DS.

I think SC should have their own forum. And we can post anything we want the SC to be. Maybe SC team can make a vote for a new model of SC.

As I said in this topic: http://scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6489 ... this idea sounds like a load of **** to me. I currently use a Supercard Mini-SD and want to upgrade to SCL, as soon as the ridiculous cost of the memory falls a bit.

Lack of GBA support is a real turn-off for me, and the lack of GBA ram will mean that the various new homebrews using that RAM will be unusuable :(

Rumble support? Just what you need when you're trying to aim a stylus on a tiny screen   I never understood the point of it in the first place. It certainly does nothing for games in my mind.

I would much rather have seen an improved SCL, with usable SRAM, GBA clock and some faster ram to up the GBA compatibility. Improved power management sounds like the only vaguely worthwhile feature.

Supercard is a brilliant product, but this idea has got to be a joke. I'm guessing the lack of recent software updates is due to the team wasting time on this, then?

however this may mean that they are putting new ds emulators instead of the old gba ones, so lazy ppl like me dont have to do any work to get my games emulated

What bums me out is that i did buy a SClite and will be a little dissapointed that a short time later there is a newer faster SC. I am happy with both the SClite and the SC SD I currently own. And if they continue support, I will still be happy!

I will wait till the slot one comes out. hopefully. i just bought the sclite
