I want to flash my Nintendo DS (not a Lite), need some help

K, I want to flash my DS. I just got a couple of questions: What flashme version do I use? Can I use the latest version (even if my DS version is lower)? What are the benefits and disadvantages of flashing? And whats with the IQSram file? Am I gonna need it? Oh, can I use a superkey instead of a passme type device? In that case, anything else i need?

I tried checking the version of my DS. It showed me 2 blue screens. Problem is, I dont know if the blue I saw was the "grayish blue" or the "dark blue"

Can I just use flashme v7?

P.S: I have a Supercard Mini SD and a DS Phat.

I used v7 on my friends DS, didn't check what version it was. worked fine.

I'VE JUST FLASHED My phat ds

read the pages suggested by oneykelly...

but i suggest you to use the best flashing tool::

a toothpick wrapped in aluminum foil (the one used in kitchen)

i had some tools by my side : paperclip, a scrwdriver (flat), and a nail...

but none worked, the toothpick saved me and my phat (thanks BRUCE

)

you should add tape to the toothpick except for the tip so that nothing else is shorted or touched. Just a note if you decide to do it again.

mgarrine, the ds phat is pretty simple isn't. I think I used a small screwdriver when I flashed my ds phat. I remember I was s'ing bricks,......until I actually did it!

No, the IQSram file is for passme2. If you can boot your Supercard to the DS menu then you are ready to run flashme.
