On the SD editions of the SuperCard, in the menus.

The easy way to see the difference is to watch my movie of the retail release, compare it to your patched copy.

The start up time is much longer, the transitions between menus, levels is longer on the patched ROM.

Remember, I'm on the Supercard Lite - YMMV.

Danny Phantom patches and runs fine for me with 2.55C and 2.56... I used.. trim/on.. faster/on.. enablePCA/high... everthing else off (including restart)...... maybe you have a bad dump

M vs DK2, seems fine to me, maybe the menus are a little slow, but the gameplay is fine. (obviously I don't have the original to compare to, but menu speed doesn't really bother me)

THanks darkuni, yeah I was playing also on a SCLite with an ultra II 1gig. I am glad to here it is mostly in startup and menus.

The MariovsDK 2 slowdown is ONLY on the Lite, not all SD version. My mini-SD runs it perfectly.

turn off  'restart'  in ds options not gba options, as stated in the release notes.

I find it completely annoying, personally.  Fortunately, it's the only retail game right now I'm interested in, so the actual cart can stay in Slot 1 for now.  I'm damn curious WHY this game appears to run fine for non-microSD users when we're supposed to have the 'faster' Supercard.  Bugs me.

As for Danny Phantom, I guess I'll try a different dump.  Even when I DID have it working on 2.55c, the game still locked up after the bonus level (apparently ANOTHER Supercard Lite only problem).

@darkuni...   did you upgrade the 1.63 firmware with the update that came with 2.55c software ? It has a diferent crc from the older 1.63, yet it keeps the same version number (an error perhaps, maybe they forgot to label it 1.63b)

You only have a "faster" cart when it comes to GBA ROMs.
For DS ROMs you're limited by the speed of your micro-SD.
That's why mini-SD users don't have slowdowns when running from a 150x mini-SD card.

Actually the SCL uses a completely new and adjusted way when it comes to memory handling. The Lite outperforms the other SC products as it is. Even a regular Sandisk should be fast enough for everything there is, if it isn't then it is due to a bad patch.

The DS rom speed is affected by two things: how the cart is manufactured (lite uses the newest technology) and what is the access time of the card being used. The transfer rate is limited by the DS so if I remember right even a 40x card should be just perfect since the data can't be transferred at a higher rate.

MvsDK2 runs fine on my micro, sure theres maybe a 3 sec wait in between levels but I hardly call that a slowdown.

sorry, this is incorrect. I've got both and my Ridata 105x miniSD still gives me the skippies bad in the Castlevania intro vid. With the SCLite it plays smoothly all the way through, but there is a short bit of minor audio distortion about 2/3 through. Only lasts a few seconds and its just like one track of audio that's distorted, not all of it.

I mentioned the MAPW fix (disable restart)

but also when trying the linking with harvest moon, did you use a gba rom save file with data on it (ie saved in game), not a blank one produced by the SC software ? otherwise only blank data will get loaded into the SC's sram.
