  My bro had dropped my DS with none other than the supercad inside o it. So it actually worked at first thoughall the games would freeze after a while. Now whenever I turn it on, it's like a lottery whether or not my ROMs will show up, even when I booted Moonshell it wouldn't see any media :(

so do I need to get a new one? or is it the CF card?

Did u try reformatting the CF card?

lolilops

Well the thing is the card reader still reads my info it's just the supercard, I'll give it a try though, I'm just going to back up my files first.

Okay I formatted it and it still won't read it. I tried restarting the DS a few times and on the third time, it started to check things (it was telling  me my supercardversion etc) and then it tested CF.

"Test CF
CF error:
error code:01     CF state:51"

So what does this mean

Can you test your SCCF with another DS? This will help isolate if the SC is damaged or the GBA port of the DS is damaged.  Your SC PCB may have a hairline crack.

Well out of desperation I opened it (yes physicially breaking it but it still works) and one o the prongs was completely bent over, and when I tired to place it up right again it just broke and fell out, so now it's useless, oh well not much I can do.

New development...I was just playing around with it and after a few tinkerings with the position of the CF card, it was able to read all of my data, but when I picked a folder (GBA Roms) everything was blank again and all I could do is choose between the servers but nothing was there...is there ANY solution to this since my supercard is already opened?

Reading this I think it's safe to say that your SCCF is a goner.

well, christmas is only 2 months away...

I will take your broken supercard if you dont want it.  Might be able to put a new pin in

lolilops

Nah I thought it would be fun to tinker with, see if I can actually fix it, a project of sort.

Im having the same problem...... but the pins look PERFECT....

I dont get it XDD

So what are the prongs made of? I want to say copper but I am pretty sure iI'm wrong. if it IS some sort of copper what can I use to fix it?

Fuck, now my SCCF is doing the same thing. Like he said, its like a lottery as to whether the roms show up in the menu or not. Also it freezes up when playing a game sometimes. Is my card dying? I've had it for quite a while and have been looking for a new cart, most likely Slot-1. Maybe it time to retire this baby. :(

I have a SC miniSD that a member (ihopeyoudie2) gave to me with a similar problem.  This supercard does not display the menu when it is first turned on after being turned off for a while. However, if I leave the Supercard powered on for about 30 seconds it starts behaving correctly. Sometimes just turning the DS off and on a few times will help get it warmed up faster.  Once it warms up and the menu displays it seems to work fine, even after being turned off for a short period. I don't understand exactly why it behaves like this. I don't use this supercard much because of this problem.  However, it does work great as a RAM pack for running Opera_patched with my DSLink slot1 card, even without a miniSD inserted.
