yeah i think that is all you need to do, that version has it removed like it is the simple file. you may want to change the start path to match yours though.

Cygoku

Thank you, I really hate to see all those file to that needs to be on root when I start Moonshell.

Yeah, I recently bought an Ewin2 SD so I could use moonshell on my DS. I tried the premade package for Ewin 2 MircoSD and that didnt work (expectedly). I also tried the newest version of moonshell (1.7 right?) and set it up for Ewin 2 for a regular SD card and it still didnt work.

The first time time I set it up on the package for Ewin 2 MicroSD it would load and then display two windows that were broken and had parts missing from them. Then when I tried to load moonshell 1.7 it would be loading and it would just freeze up mid-load, and it would always freeze in the same spot?

Is there something I can do to get this to work?

Thanks in advance.

Quote from: "Hi"I'm getting a problem with batchdpg. When I try to convert ANY video file in ANY format, I get that error message that tells me to run the avs file in windows media player, take note of the error message, and contact the author. The author of what? Well, regardless of who the author is, can someone help me? Here is the error message

Script error: there is no function named "DirectShowSource"
(C:/Documents and settings... if I were to continue it would give me the path of the avs file.)

It does this for EVERY movie I try to encode.

Further more, batch dpg used to work.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both the k-lite codec pack (thinking the problem may realate to codecs) and batchdpg with no luck. Help me please.

I'm having the same problem as "hi" i did managed to fix with reinstallation but it didnt work this time T-T I'm very sure i didnt install anything in my comp recently that will affect my batchdpg.. .

I used to able to convert my videos but recently i'm not able to do so. I dont remember installing any programs that might jeopardise it...

My error msg ---> Resize: Source image too small for this resize method (D:\XXXXX)

Anyone?

guys, some Qs about moonshell

1. currently my ds backlight is off whenever i closes the panel, is it ok? i mean is there going to be any burn-in effect cuz technically the splash screen is still being displayed?

2. is there  a way when i booted up the moonshell and it automaticaly plays mp3? cuz in moonshl.ini it seems that you have to select one song to play and the rest is depending on your setting (normalloop, shuffleloop etc)

3. is there any good ripping tool beside cdex that i can use with lame encoder?

btw onekelly, i think one of the file in premade sd moonshell patched by moonlight is corrupted

onekelly

1. IF the backlight is off you, shouldn't get burn in at all.

2.I do not think there is that setting, but what you could do is change your start path to for example a folder called music and then you just choose one and have it play randomly, endlessly or whatever setting you have in the moonshl.ini

3. Dont know, sorry.

I will look into the premade by moonlight and fix. On that same subject, i will update all to the correct series here shortly. Thanks for being patient with me.

I use the one bundled in Nero.  Does 320kbps 44100hz, stereo and tags everything at perfection.

I forgot about that one, that is the one I used for converting my daughters mp3's for her tiny mp3 player. I think it is called Nero Recode, if i am not mistaken.

1.alright moonshell!

2.too bad huh onekelly? i mean combine with the startpath you suggest, i think it would be awesome

@cygoku: thanx man i'll look into it

ok another Qs

1. is the mp3 feature of moonshell still in development? i'm hoping that someday it will be on par w/ ipod or something

2. i'm using SD card, is the MPCF (startpath) works for SD card too? cuz you mention on page six that it will start directly from CF

dantheman

The mp3 function has worked perfectly fine for some time now.  What is wrong with it?  Granted, you won't get quite as good sound output as you would with an iPod, but that's a limitation of the DS's audio hardware, not something Moonshell can fix.  If you want an mp3 player with an iPod-like menu, go with the LMP-ng program.

Hi

(I'm using batch dpg) I'm trying to save space. Videos take up to much room. Could somebody give me some settings for batch dpg that will not take up to much space but still give an exceptable amount of quality?

Obviously, to save space I must lower the quality. I'll except that, but I don't want to lower the quality TOO much. Any suggestions?

From the tutorial there are these recommended settings

Recommend settings

FPS: Auto
Video bitrate: 300 ( or 150 if you want space over quality since BatchDPG uses Variable Bitrate ) [/b]
Max bitrate: 300
Profile: High
Width: 256
Height: 192
Audio bitrate: 64
Samplerate: 32000
Normalize: On

These settings are for the version that is in the tutorial.

Hi

Those are the settings Ihave been using. The converted videos use up lots of space anx, while their quality is nice, the vids are higher quality than I need.

Hi, i guess if I were you, i would mess around with the video bitrate and max bit rate.I You will have to play with it a little though, as i do not know the correct setting you desire to make a smaller file size.

Change your setting on audio to mono to help lower size.
