What do you think of SHOCK! DSL shells?

Lol, they look sweet I might get it, but I need to send my DS Lite to nintendo again (apparently, all this time, there was a walk-in service for Nintendo about a five minute drive away from my house). I got the crack again!

If your gonna get the case why send your DS to Nintendo to fix the crack in the case your gonna replace,lol?

I'm never opening up a handheld again.

I replaced my old ds's outer shell, and it just looked UGLY when done. It scratched easily, the screen needed to be glued on and there were even more problems.

Trust me guys. If you got a perfect ds lite without cracks or whatever, avoid replacing the shells.

looks like a good way to get a triwing screwdriver at least. maybe I'll get one and try it out on a pawnshop DSL in a year or two.

They look so awesome. I'm definitely buying the black case once they release them. Seriously, I hate the smudgy hand prints on DSL, this would fix all the issues. Plus, I'd get rid of the bad yellow stain whats going on with my Polar White DSL shoulder buttons... ew.

Is there a way for Nintendo to check to see if the warranty is invalid on the dslites (other then having an unauthorized firmware installed) ? I know the phat ones had that white and pink pokey-dot sticker ...

The old gameboy was an off white color, if you were talking of the 'old' gameboy! You must be talking of the newer old gameboy! LOL!!

Exactly, that old gameboy clear shell! I love it.

I read it on a topic over at GBAtemp, some guy was whinning to the shell makers because he wanted to cancel a preorder and they asked why. The release date was in one of the responses he got.
