yeah.. so far wii rocks!  bought mario64 and zelda NES.  heh..

i dont know if my wiimote is a bit retarded, but it seems to not sense very well with wii sports boxing.. the nunchuck was super responsive, but the wiimote wouldn't throw right hooks very often.. or is it just the game?  any other people noticed it?

zelda twilight princess is very nice.. too bad its a cube game though.. wish it had been coded for wii from the beginning.. i'm sure they could've squeezed a little better textures/colours out of it..

anyone buy raving rabbids?  i'm debating whether to get it later tonight...

DeVS

No rabbits here, but also very interested in it and Red Steel. Was gonna wait and rent them before buying em incase they stink.

I was playing tenis in wii sports today right after I got one of them wiimote rubber gloves from target and after paying a while with out the strap on my hands got realy sweety and I swung almost as hard as I could and the wiimote slipped right out of my hand and smashed into my wall just inches away from my 60in big screen tv.  So I learned my lesson. I will always use my wrist strap from now on.
When you guys download the games where does it save too?  if it can save to the sd could you just upload it online and I put it on my sd and it work or does it need the system it downloaded it on?

Edit:  The blue ring around the dvd drive could be connected up to another power source so it is always on.  But im not going to be the first one to try it.

From my experience with red steel so far, I'd have to say it has a steep learning curve and difficult controls, but once you get the hang of it it's ton's of fun. I'm not too sure about the story quite yet, only about an hour in.

I'll probably ask for my 2nd wiimote/nun-chuck and excite truck for Christmas since Zelda and red steel will have me occupied....not to mention DS releases.

got the wii this morning with zelda and trama center. awesome so far, and i must say trama center on big screen is pretty intense. what i wanted was wii play and not wii sports though(duck hunt). hopefully nintendo will have more features for the channels this coming winter.

ohhhhh boy... can't wait for a DSL SC.

Rocky you can download the classics from the Virtual Console either to the  512mb built into the Wii or an SD card. Once you download the drm locks it to your Wii so you can't share them with others (like take your SD card and play them on someone elses Wii) or add your own roms and play them. You can however download and delete the game for free after the first initial purchase it just has to be on the same console.

so how do i choose SD card as my location for virtual console roms?   I bought zelda and mario 64, and I'd rather have them on an SD than on my wii memory..

also, can save games be transferred from wii to SD?

Perseid

So...if your Wii dies and you have to buy a new one you have to buy all your VC games too? Ick.

And how long do you think it'll be before THAT gets cracked?

AnalogMan

Yes, you can put your saves on the SD card. However, your saves, and VC games are all smashed into two files (one for saves, one for games). So cracking it will take a little longer to be able to download individual games and place them on your SD card.

Ok final blue light remark from me,lol. Found this on the Nintendo offical forums:

QuoteAnother common question as identified by our amazing Nsider fans!

The disc slot light illuminates briefly when:

• The Wii Console is turned on either by hitting the power button or by inserting a game disc.
• WiiConnect24 is turned on and you are receiving new data, such as messages. WiiConnect24 has to be turned on and the "Slot Illumination" setting needs to be set to "Dim" or "Bright"

The light does not stay illuminated during gameplay or when using other features of the Wii console.

Someone also said it lights up and stays lit up if you get a message from someone. Maybe we can test this out and send a message and see what it does. Someone let me know if they want to exchange Wii codes and give it a try.

there's an option to sync your mynintendo account to the VC store, so there's a possiblility that it might be watching your downloads incase your wii dies. (I sync mine up even though i wont buy from VC until some more games come out, and i have money again :D)
